I for one thing the song Katy Perry did with Elmo on Seasame Street was pretty darn good! She certainly is a "well-built" gal!

KATY Perry's duet with Sesame Street's Elmo has been pulled from the show after complained about Perry's outfit, TMZ revealed today.

The pop singer and the little red monster performed together in an adapted version of Perry’s hit song Hot N Cold, scheduled for broadcast on New Year's Eve.

The clip has already been put up on YouTube and by late yesterday, New York time, had received nearly 1 million hits.

Producers decided the song would not go to air, though, after complaints from parents that Perry had dressed inappropriately for a children’s program.

Perry appears in the clip wearing a low-cut yellow dress and a wedding veil.

One parent cited by TMZ said: "You can practically see her t*ts. That’s wonderful children’s programming".

Among more than 5,500 comments on YouTube, opinion was divided, reported TMZ.

One viewer wrote: "Adorable video. However, she does seem? uncomfortable running around in that top. What was the costume department thinking?"

Others simply called it "cute" and said there was "no problem."

In the clip, Perry’s song is rewritten to express sadness that Elmo doesn’t want to play with her and continues running away.

At the end of the clip, Elmo says he was playing tag with Perry all along.

I don't think that outfit is too revealling at all! Besides, most kids have been breast fed and have seen breasts before anyway! I don't believe the kids will be affected negatively by this video. Some people are just too sensitive!

i think its a great clip.. dads will want to spend more time with their kids and watch Sesame st together!

I wouldn't see a problem since these kids probably were still remembering how the taste of their mother milk is like.  If the instinct was nursing I would see little problem with it.  It's only in America where they go crazy about woman breast.  In Africa and parts of Samoa woman walk all day with no shirt on.  It used to be the case
in Japan and Korea in the field woman use to work with no shirt on.

So now everybody is so crazy about covering up and making sex taboo that they feel she was bad.  Well if that is how Americans want to run their country that's their rules.  I feel that the US is too uptight about everything.

Dumped from Sesame Street, US pop singer Katy Perry has taken her revenge on national television.
The California Gurls singer, whose guest appearance was deemed too sexy for the long-running children's show last week, has received a much warmer welcome from comedy sketch favourite Saturday Night Live overnight.
Perry filmed a segment for SNL's mock chat show Bronx Beat, dressed in a skin-tight Elmo T-shirt, cut open to reveal the cleavage which offended YouTube viewers and saw her booted from Sesame Street's New Year's Eve episode line up.
The 25-year-old had filmed a musical number with Elmo for the show but parents complained her low-cut dress and ample cleavage was inappropriate for youngsters when the clip was previewed online.
In her poke at producers, Perry last night played the role of library volunteer Maureen, who had been told by staff to wear "looser-fitting clothing" to work around children. 
Bouncing up and down on the Bronx Beat couch, a buxom Perry was consoled by hosts Amy Poehler and Maya Rudolph, who told her "boobs feed babies, alright."

I have read (although I can't find the link right now) that the dress was provided by the show.  Which would make sense if you know anything about TV productions.  So it's not like she was trying to be provocative at all and she shouldn't get any blame for it.  No one in SS target audience would ever have found that dress to be a problem.  It's just uptight parents and their own emotional problems.

Beyonce's sister Solange Knowles has a bone to pick with 'kiddie porn'-peddling Katy Perry, after finding her son secretly watching Katy's 'California Gurls' video, as if it was porn.
Solange's kid, Julez, is almost six years old - and apparently felt that Katy's video was too sexy to watch when his mum was around.

Kiddy porn hey... oh well if its not the tv then its the internet. Kids are exposed to all sorts of crap these days. But its not that much of a fuss really. I remember when Jo beth Taylor was host of cartoon connection in oz and she wore tight dresses, low cut tops and short skirts. I certainly wasn't watching the show for the cartoons.
