I always stay at Star Hotel.  I find this a very convenient location for traveling to CP, SZ & HK by train.  It is located one block from the East Train Station and also houses Guangzhou's subway system which services most parts of GZ. It is a 3.75 star hotel with breakfast.  rates run around 60 USD. Hope this helps

It's not far from downtown and have also a massage center with FS option   on 4th floor with nice girls. Let me know if you need more info

Some will arrange transport/transfers depending on the hotel too.

It is very central in the city, on the doorstep of HaiZhuGuangChang 海珠广场 subway. Walkable to the waterfront where all the good seafood restaurants and hangout bars are. 24-hr mcdonalds across the road too. 5min taxi ride to Shamian Island Many restaurants and busy surrounding. Massage and KTV built-in to the hotel (I never tried it though..... so i dunno what they offer) Price is around rmb300 I think. Very reasonable because the hotel is slightly outdated.
