As a synopsis, apparently because the first priority is to crack on political affairs and relevant negative reports, the taxing manpower on the "Great Firewall" because of the popular social networking sites have led to some porn sites being able to sneak through the firewall, ex. YouPorn, PornHub. So we may not even need a proxy to use for surfing this forum eventually as it appears more sites are sneaking through the firewall. For example off and on the 141 site has been unblocked in China. Sometimes you can get through but sometimes it's blocked. More often then not it is unblocked. But on the other hand there seems to be crackdowns happening especially in the major city. Are the two related? They dont seem to be. But seems like some people higher up aren't all on the same page.

Everything that I would like to see is still blocked, at least from where I am staying right now in Dongcheng.  I guess it is back to the VPN connection... A littler slower, but worth the wait.

This will not happen anytime soon. Censorship is more prevalent now than one year ago. Then you can still get onto YouTube and Facebook as well as 141 but these days nothing.
