But how does one turn off the annoying bell with every new message thread that is clicked on???  It's gets really annoying to hear DING DONG everytime I click on a thread?  I treid to find a "preferences' button on the forum but no such luck and I don't want to just hit the MUTE button because then I won't be able to use the computer for other programs with audio...  *sigh*

Hi Moderator if you don't mind, can you please tell me the settings to turn off the bell sounds when going to a new thread...  The first time it happened to me I really thought someone rang my doorbell...  LOL Sorry for taking up your time and space here, but after 17 views and almost 12 hours, I would have thought someone here would already have the answer? Thanks in advance!

This doesn't happen to me, and I can't recall anyone every mentioning it before. Maybe it's a browser setting. What browser are you using? #4 Post at 18-7-2010 03:06  Profile P.M.  Font size: S M L I don't remember if this setting is in the Member's CP -> Edit Profile -> PM sound...but i remember the bell thing when i first joined and it drove me nuts too....check this setting out and see if it fixes your problem
