NBA Free Agency Signings

Not sure how many people here follow the NBA, but figured I'd post a new thread in case.

Amare is going to the Knicks
Johnson apparently is staying with the Hawks

Now onto the big three:

ESPN is reporting Bosh will be joining Wade in Miami, will Lebron follow or stay in Cleveland?

It would be totally awesome if Bosh and Lebron signed with the Chicago Bulls......be almost like the Jordan Era!

Except Bosh isn't going to Chicago, but instead Miami.

We'll see if Bosh can convince Toronto to do a sign and trade, but can't see Toronto taking back Beasley, just to help Bosh out. Beasley hasn't lived up to the hype from College.

Well espn seems pretty confident that bosh and wade will sign with Miami to join forces. Boozer is signing with Chicago. As for James I think he will most likely stay with Cleveland.

Exactly all that money, but can't buy anybody yet.

After their disastorous season last year, they need to get some stability before players become interested again. As bad as the Knicks organization has been the 10 years or so, I'd still take the Knicks money before taking the Nets and staying in what Newark *yuck*.

I wonder now that Boozer has signed in Chicago, if that makes any difference to Lebron? I would guess no, but on paper it would look like a good move.

You'd have: Lebron, Boozer, Rose and a supporting cast

with Carter calling the shots, LBJ will most likely stay in Cleveland. if LBJ leaves Cleveland, Carter loses all his leverage

If that's really the case, there's no need for him to throw a primetime special even though some of the proceeds goes to the Boys and Girls club. Why go through all that trouble and create all that hype? I mean we all like hype and drama but it makes him look selfish, petty, and egotistical.

It'll be difficult to see James going to Miami because of his ego. KG, Paul Pierce, and Ray Allen made it work but I'm not so sure how it's going to work between the three of them.

New Jersey is a long shot because who wants to be stuck playing in Newark for two years? There's no guarantee that they'll build the new Brooklyn arena in time.

Amare is an upgrade over David Lee, despite his health and posting similar numbers. He would be able to attract over free agents. Who knows how his knee(s) and eyes are going to hold up? Is Allan Houston still on the payroll?

He's not going to Chicago because he'll forever be in Jordan's shadow. The pressure and expectations of playing where an icon and legend did is tremendous. As great as he is, he is a far way from Jordan. Kobe may be getting older but he is still the best player in the league and he has the championships to prove that. If he does go there, he's going to have to win a lot of championships and even then they may not build a statue for him.

Both lebron and wade wanted to play with Bosch as the Garnett, pierce cho worked inBoston.   So they want to recreate that. Amare is nowhere near Bosch so can't see lebron going to Knicks. But he is announcing in northeast area so maybe new York or new jersey.  Either way it not what lebron wanted.

There's a bit of talk about LBJ leaning towards joining Bosh and Wade at Heat.
If he does go to Heat and do win a ring, I think it looks bad on LBJ himself because it would seem like he NEEDED Wade and co. more than vice versa. But then, Cavs despite trying--still have not sourced better players to support LBJ. Anyhow, a LBJ + Wade + Bosh combination would be sick.

This indeed is getting interesting. Is Lebron doing a bit of misleading or is he really going to go Miami and have the 3 headed monster team in Miami?

Everyone wants to win, and Lebron is no exception, but if he does go to Miami as part of this group I and even if he wins it all, I wonder if would diminsh his status at all. But as someone said winning isn't everything it's the only thing.
