#1 Post at 7-5-2010 03:06  Profile P.M.  Font size: S M L Terrible weather I'm sure all bros have noticed the terrirble weather that's been reported from provinces like Hubei, Hunan and Chongqing today, especially the tornados and heavy rain. A lot of our lovely WGs come these places and I'm sure they are worried sick about the folks at home, especially those who come from farming villages and small towns. I'm not going to mention any names as I've been burned before, but two of my favourites are from very close to the storm centers and I've actually visited one way out in the boonies so I know first-hand what terrible conditions some live udner at home and udnerstand totally why they have been forced into their work in order to help their families. So at the risk of sounding like a sentimental fool, let's give a thought to those with families in these places and of course some of them have even returned to these storm-stricken places!

I used to wonder why a gal who was University educated (in Mongolia not Harvard LOL), spoke 6 languages and was very attractive needed to do this line of work. Then I saw the Horrible winter earlier in the year, followed by the disease and other issues as the ice melts and the dead animals underneath start to decompose. I figured the circumstances that would make a girl turn to such work must be quite extreme... I don't think we know just how extreme their situation can become. We really don't realise how lucky we are.

There are many farming people affected every year this way and we should always continue to play our part in trying to make life a bit better for them. I made some donations to the Sichuan earthquake victims and was invited to inspect the affected areas. Unfortunately I could not make it at the time due to work commitments. Always good to see these things first hand and contribute whichever way we can.
