Are they 3 or 4 star hotels? I don't expect Peninsula quality...(but then again you never know..hehehe) I'm just worried I might run into a client in a lobby or even on a floor. I also wonder if I can find these hotels they stay at.

I think it's so they can check you out when you answer the phone.

Of course, they could just be checking that the girl is ready to receive the customer. But, personally, I wouldn't blame the papa if he wanted to see the customer before he gave out the girl's room number. There's a lot of crazy guys around.

The second is when you are close to the vicinity and do the final check for readiness. The only time to do the id verification check is when they come to your place. So they know that you are for real (so they think). As for finding the hotel, you can always ask for direction in the first call. Or call them any time when you need help.

USA, EU ............................................ Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand requires registration; In Thailand, if you don't register, the number cannot be used in certain provinces though I am not sure whether this is the case now; IIRC if you want to use the SIM in certain provinces you have to inform the operator of your intention I got a CSL card 2 months ago and not sure whether friend did register on my behalf;
