AM I GOING THROUGH A MID-LIFE CRISIS....

Alright bros..RICO here...

I have heard this expression numerous times..." MID-LIFE CRISIS"

Is RICO going through a "MID-LIFE CRISIS"...

As some of the bros know..." RICO is a workaholic..

This past month RICO just can't be "ARSED" doing anything... I am neglecting my work...( Deligating workloads...When i could of got better deals if i was negotiating them myself..)..My income for this month has gone down by 40 percent...( But RICO doesn't give a fuck..) It's a good job i have other sources of income..

I can't even be arsed getting up in the mornings...The days seems to drag.....All i do is watch online movies till the early hours of the morning and then sit down in the office playing online war games...

RICO still does punts even though i have "NO" urge to shag whatsoever.... Even my online time on this forum has deteriorated... To put in a sense of how "FUCKED UP" RICO feels....I cannot even enjoy a glass of my favourite wine....

Am i going through a "MID-LIFE CRISIS BROS"....

And can someone please explain the term "MID-LIFE CRISIS" to RICO please...

Because if this is not a mid-lfe crisis i am going through then "FUCK ME"...RICO still has that to endure...

Bro Rico if it carries on, go see your doctor. Lethargy can point to a number of things and not necessarily a midlife crisis

Maybe you are suffering from clinical depression. You may want to consider seeing a doc

bro, your days drag because you read too many HK reports and wish that you were in HK, so you keep looking forward to the day you will be in HK. i should know, i'm caught up in it.

stay away from the forum for a few days and you'll be fine

First of all, get checked up for depression!
It is quite bormal to reach a stage where everything becomes routine once in a while, but if it lasts too long then you should see someone about it.
I don't mind sharing that I had similar feelings/problems the last couple of years and it is hard to shake off.
My recent near ship sinking experience shook me out of this feeling of boredom and without going into too personal details, it woke me up to the fact that there is still a lot more excitement out there as long as you don't waste your life away just taking the easy and lazy route of watching TV and basically treading water and wasting time.
I used to have a few hobbies (besides mongering, that is!) but I had completely neglected them.
The wake up call of having quite intense feelings again, even though it was for a WG and could never really work as a normal relationship, spurred me to get back into having a life and doing all sorts of things I had neglected, including photography, which I had always enjoyed, but practically given up. I started by getting a new and better camera and taking shots of the HGs, but that's just a fraction of what I photograph again and my friends are appreciating it.
The hardest part is sometimes just forcing yourself off your butt to get up and do things again, but I can guarantee when you manage it you will feel a lot better.
A good dose of exercise also helps and I have been doing this for the past 6 weeks and feel a lot better, have better and longer erections and much more intense orgasms. Last Sunday with Wet Wet was amazing and she couldn't believe that I was more than three times her age! Good luck, bro! I'm sure all of us here on 141 are rooting for you.
I was very touched recently when so many bros came out and supported me when I had a problem.

Do you have some good drinking buddies?

Sometimes its about getting smashed with some friends and ranting about life.

(once you figure all that out, then you go for some womens)

I think you've got your mind all on HK, since its all booked up and you are ready for it. Thing is, its not very soon which means that time seems to drag on. I was like that recently, all hyped up ready for HK (in May) and didn't give a dam about most things, but now my mate is having money problems so our HK visit is off !!

Can't comment on the mid life crisis, simply because im too young

Rico, Yes this is very important. I have seen the impact this can have on a family member and it really needs to be taken seriously. As also mentioned by Bro jw510, see a doctor.

Severe apathy, loss of focus, and inability to concentrate.  Sounds like symptoms of depression, or either your getting a shorter attention span, or your emotions have become very unstable at the moment.  Perhaps it is a midlife crisis, and it's time to go to see a hong kong doctor to examine what is out of balance in your life.

I strongly suspect a combination of feng shui, and rebalancing your diet and chi forces might work best to solve your problem.  Either that or people, has there been any sudden changes in your life recently?

Recognizing that you might have a problem is a good first step - I'll echo what other Bro's have said - go see a doctor, so that you can rule out medical issues, or get treatment for ones that might exist.

Unfortunately I don't know you well enough to offer any kind of advice that might help with issues that are more life-style/life-stage/psychological based beyond saying that for that, I think you need to talk/lay it all out to a trusted friend, who can help you get to the answer that chances are, you probably already know or have within you.

Good luck.

Sounds like depression, mate.  I lose mood too sometimes, when I am thinking about home.  I think you had such a great trip last time round, and am missing what you had here (and am missing me too ), so you may be going through the motions, awaiting your next trip.  I suggest packing up your things and moving back here and going out with TD - your drinking buddy.  And starting afresh.  Whatever you choose, I look forward to seeing you in September.  Let's talk about it offline if you wish.

If you don't go to a doctor/therapist soon to at least arrest your depression and to talk to someone, you may get worse and suffer a mental breakdown.  I have been through a depression myself a few times.  On the last time I found that talking to a therapist helped me alot and got me to open up myself in a way that brought me closer to my family and friends.  As guys we have a tendency to keep a lot of shit in our hearts and heads and not let it go by talking about it with others.  So all that shit stays inside, grows, and simmers until it begins to rot us from inside.

Once you start, you may decide to either ask your wife to come back to England and live with your or vice versa, you go to HK to live with your wife in HK.  You did say you have other sources of income.  It is always great to be close to family.  Good luck.
