Worth noting however is that the quality of the original photo, the nature of the detail in the background behind where the words are removed and the skill of the operator will determine the quality of the result.

#3 Post at 6-4-2010 18:57  Profile P.M.  Font size: S M L Depends from a JPEG no as it is already compressed and flattened if it came out of your camera as a RAW file then it will be a separate layer and can be removed easily. If it is a JPEG or gif it means a photoshop mission, attached is a SQ photoshop which took me about 20 minutes to do, I've water marked it with some big black strips though! EDIT a photoshop mission depends on the actual image itself tbh in that if you have a shitty photo in the first place at a shitty resolution it will be hard, but if you have a massive image where tiny details don't matter then it is easier. As said the SQ photo was just removing the 141 water mark (it was just a photo that I had handy). You can still do it on a Jpeg Bro. it just involves reproducing the background to fill in the gaps. Essentially what you are doing is "covering" the words with a duplication of the background rather than deleting the words from the top layer. So to answer Bro Twice's question, yes it can be done and the type of original pic determines the best way to do it. Bro Twice, I assume your question is simply "can a pic be modified to remove all evidence that text or a date stamp existed?" If so then yes, no problem.

#11 Post at 7-4-2010 05:40  Profile P.M.  Font size: S M L Reply #1 twiceAweek's post Simply put, yes to all the questions.  The Stamp/Cloning tool makes it rather easy if the image is flattened.  The Vista/7 snip tool makes it very easy to get an image off a website and save it as a jpeg.  Using PS, opening the file and the stamp/clone tool almost anyone can remove and edit any photo. The quality of 'finished' photo depends on the background in the photo and the skill.   Please PM if you want more detailed information on this.
