Hotel Recommendation? Wan Chai, Central or LKF

What are the less expensive (but just as nice) alternatives to the Grand Hyatt in Wan Chai?  Someplace that has its own lounges with semi pros?

Looking for 4 stars or better.  I've got several 3 star and 4 star alternatives that I've used before, but none with their own lounge/bar populated with girls on the prowl.

why do you want a hotel with its own bar in Wanchai ? there are hundreds of bars right next to the 3 star hotels in Wanch !

Yah, I know this.  It's a different experience in the hotel bar.  Not so noisy, slower pace, etc.  Not saying it's any better, just different.

When the place is slower you'll probably find its not a pick up joint ...
Holiday INN in TST - Harri's Bar might suit you !

Renaissance in Wanchai is quite good.  Probably can get a room for around $175US.  Right by the water, and right by the bus stations that can take you into Shenzhen.

renaissance in wanchai is teh shitttt  i stayed there during the last 2 trips
i cant understand its only 4.5 star..

if you can afford it its a good piick

20hkd taxi ride to lkf
walk 1 minute and you can take the star ferry to TST for 2,50hkd

i have not tried the direct buses to shenzhen, but i did tried the bus from "Lok ma chau" to wanchai, and it stops like 200meters from renaissance....

the room service is sick, especially the hainanaese chicken, pretty pricey... it was like 130hkd for it..

and the harbour view...

agreed, there's not much use to have lounge in hotels, unlike the situation in mainland china.

easier to stay in any decent hotel and go LKF or bars around wanchai.

I stayed at the Grand Hyatt in Wanchai.  Although it is a nice hotel, I dont think it lives up to its 5 star status.  Yes, the bathroom is granite, but the building it surely showing its age.

Have you considered Conrad in Pacific place?  Its a decent location.  Minutes to Admiralty station which puts you right on the red and blue line.  Unlike the Grand Hyatt, walking to Wanchai station is pretty damn far.
