Huh, sounds like a scam of sucking folks in with a high price and mystery.

I've not tried any of those, nor any other ad without a picture (although with all the photoshopping going on around here maybe with/without pic makes no difference! ).  If I were you, I'd definitely go to their hotel instead of having them come to yours.  If it's a scam you want to be able to walk away, and you can't really do that from your own hotel.

So wait...maybe nobody tried the high priced  (note...I said high priced not "high end") products you are looking at.  Most of the bros here DO share their experiences so I suspect that there are very few takers for these high priced WGs.  

I am speculating that you are using price as a strict guideline of quality.  Your first experience would seem to highlight thiat this criteria is a weak method in selecting WGs.  It does make sense that you are ISO (in search of) information on some of these higher priced WGs but the lack of direct feedback or other reviews would tend to indicate that there are just not that many takers of the high priced WGs (hey sounds like supply and demand).  For what it's worth I'd much rather spend the extra money on an overnighter with one of the better reviewed WGs.
