There has been a lot of discussion relating to posting your own real photos or videos of working girls, i.e. pics/vids that aren't from their advertising (DB images, agents' photos, etc). Whilst it's largely up to the membership to maintain a reasonable level of propriety when participating, the following should assist going forward, especially with regards to what level of RA (Restricted Access) to apply.

Note: The below applies to all areas of the forum effective from 1st January 2014. It does not need to be applied retroactively (though it would be appreciated). Revisions may be made in future when required.

1. Real pics/vids must only be of adult working girls (WGs), i.e. girls aged 18 or older who are paid for sexual services.
   
   
2. Photos of DHs (Domestic helpers) are not allowed.
   
   
3. Minimum RAs required for pictures as outlined below:
   
   i. Pics that do not show face - RA20
   ii. Pics that show face - RA30
   iii. Pics that show nudity without showing face - RA30
   iv. Pics that show nudity and face - RA50
   v. Pics taken from WG's social media (e.g QQ/Wechat/Whatsapp) - RA50
   vi. Pics taken from SEX141 database - no RA needed
   
   For those who post VIDEO links, since there is no ability to RA just the link, you need to RA the whole thread based on the guidelines above (just change the word "pics" to "videos").
   
   
4. Since the current forum engine settings do not support RA setting of individual hyperlinks, threads containing linked or links to your real pics/vids of WGs need to be set with the appropriate level of RA (refer to above).
   
   
5. If the pics you attached is not yours, but obtained from the net / other public sources, please CLARIFY.
   
   
6. Keep each pic to a minimal file size (preferably less than 100kb) for optimal page loading. Please do not upload large files directly from your device! Use software to down-size them first (see here).
   
   
7. "Reports" which are essentially just pics/vids should be posted in the Erotica section, not in a reports section.
   
   
8. Real pics/vids shot, retained, or sourced deceptively, i.e. without the WG's knowledge, are not allowed.
   
   
9. If you are having difficulties in setting RA on your real pics/vids, send a private message (PM) to the relevant section moderators for assistance, providing the link to your report, and instructions on what level of RA to apply to which pics/vids.
   
   
10. Real pics/vids may be edited, have their RA level changed, or be removed at mods' discretion.

How to set RA for videos

The Discuz! engine the English forum uses does not support hosting of videos, therefore you need to upload your video clips to an external site, then post the links here. In order to comply with the RA policy on real pics/vids but without having to set RA on your entire report thread, you can try the following:

1. Upload your video to a file/video hosting site, such as megaupload, wupload, rapidshare, videobam, etc.
2. Copy/Type the URL of your video into a picture editor (Paint, Photoshop, etc) and save it as an image file.
3. Attach the image file to your report like any other image, and set your desired RA for the image (example below)

People wanting to view your video will then need to manually type the URL into their browser (since the text cannot be copied) which is a pain, but it does get round the problem of having to RA your entire thread say if you wanted to post a real, clickable link.

For those who have been asking me how to get pics to appear within the text of your report, rather than all at the end of the report...

Using the "aid" thing to set position of attachments

1. After you have posted your report with pics attached in the normal way, click [Edit] to edit your post. You will see a column next to your attachments called "aid" (no idea what it stands for) which shows some numbers.

2. Mouse-over a number and you will see a tooltip saying "Click here to place the attachment at the cursor location in the post". This does exactly what it says (which is amazing for an old forum engine like ours!)

3. Go to your text, click to place the cursor where you want the pic to appear, then click on the "aid" number for that image. The number will be inserted at the position of the cursor, together with the [attach] Discuz! code.

4. Once you're done placing your pics, click "Edit Post".

5. You may need to refresh your browser manually after that to get the pics to appear in the positions you chose.

I have a question.  It seems that not revealing a WGs face is a good idea in HK since most are covered or heavily photoshopped.   But in the US, many will show their non-photoshopped face in the ad or will post their pictures on the forums (particulary on sfredbook.com).  Can we still add those pictures to our reports in the Int'l section?

It doesn't say don't post pics with face, it says post it but with RA 30.  

... and as you say, respect her wishes if she prefers her face hidden or obscured.

Also, these requirements are about real pics that you take, not about advertisements.

To the mods, I really appreciate the work that you guys do on this forum and while i am not in Asia right now (will be moving there in about a month),  I have been reading and living vicariously through many of your exploits.  For the few times that I have been in Asia, I found the real photos to be tremendously useful given that unlike in NA, most of the photos in Asia are heavily photoshopped to the point that the real person doesn't often look like the photo at all.  So, while the experience is certainly important, I think for many of us, the looks is just as important.  This is especially true given that I've found people's description of the looks to differ widely. The cliche does say that a picture is worth a thousand words... or roughly 10 posts?    

So, while i would understand the rationale and decision to make these real photos (w/ or wo face) RA20 to encourage people to post useful items, but RA30 if face is shown?  That seems a little excessive given how much one would have to participate in order get to this level...   A lot of us are not in the position to be in Asia all the time or have as much time to devote to the forum / punting activities, but that doesn't mean that we don't want to participate.  Do you worry that this would decrease the usefulness of many of the posts if all the photos are RA30 if only a handful of people can read them?

If you're not in HK, and so cannot make use of the girls being reported on, why would you need to see their real pics? I know you want to, but you don't need to! Participate in the Int'l section if you're overseas... You do punt outside of Asia, right?

There are many reasons for higher "exclusivity" on faces, from encouragement to participate, to acknowledging the importance of a good detailed report (which btw says a thousand times more than the thousand words that a pic can tell), to respect for WG privacy, etc, etc.

Alright bro wyshum...  I also live outside HK and post my reports in the International section...RA30 is ONLY 200 karmas..It only takes a few reports and to reach Conqueror status...

Hi bro. Thanks for your support! And you're the first to ask the why!!!

I'm assuming you're asking only about the RA requirements, right? Well, there are a lot of reasons, and the whole real pic posting thing had been discussed on and off for months by the mod team, as well as by participating members in numerous different threads. We were getting questions from all over the place about what content needed what level of RA, or if any, and we didn't have any solid policy to deal with the questions, so we knew something had to be done, especially considering we're getting more and more real pics these days! In the end, the mod team agreed on the above as the simplest to implement by all.

Pics are a great motivator to encourage participation in the forum, since they are so popular, so by having real pics restricted was one obvious way to achieve this. This is the prime reason for the new policy on pics. Other reasons include respect for WG privacy, having an easy rule to mod and for bros to follow, forcing more focus back onto bros' reports, etc.

I think one of the major concerns is that karma and credits are not given often on this site and I include myself.  A negative acceptance is thrown around quickly if you call a spade a spade.  All the members should be supporting each other and once we see someone who is actively supporting the site then we should help a fellow brother achieve the ratings.  For some of us reporting on a web site is already dangerous with prying eyes and a photo on a cell or camera could be very costly is found by a spouse.  I'm in agreement that we need to protect the girls as they deserve the privacy but lets not hurt future growth of this site that will occur with these new rules for the next little while.  A rule of thumb is when you tighten controls you must also offer incentives to keep people interested.

I think karma giving is not a problem on this site. What the issues usually revolve around is negative karma, which must be very carefully used indeed. Acceptance points is considered quite a throw-away for most people, since they do not affect system rank. If you compare this English side of sex141 to the Chinese side, where karma is given and taken away quite selectively and en mass, which do you prefer? I obviously prefer our English side!

Whilst I have mongered over a pretty wide area in the past, nowadays I mostly on do so in
Southern China - and thus I'd like to chime in with my 2 fen worth(which by the way is petty well the same thing I wrote on another unrelated thread - but which is probably more appropriate here).

On these new requirements - great, as I sort of feel uneasy seeing all these clearly identifiable pictures here.  It MAY be OK ... I guess .... for the Hong Kong and other sites where prostitution per se is not illegal, but for places like China, where laws against prostitution are quite robust and enforced (fortunately quite selectively!), it can really be disastrous for the girl.  

And even if its not a matter of law, IMHO - most Chinese gals do NOT do this profession for very long - and would only do so until they've say, been able to take care of a particular situation or emergency or saved up enough to re-assume a regular life. And thus some random pornographic picture of them floating around in cyber space (Cyber is forever!!) could easily be disastrous for them and whatever life they've been able to muster up in the future.

And I guess this would also apply to Chinese girls who come over to Hong Kong.  I am actually quite amazed how a lot of these gals - especially the "Hotel reservation gals" who are mostly originaly from China on short term permits in Hong Kong - would go ahead and put up their fully identifiable pictures on 141...and then even have guys here review them with further lewd pictures being put up.  I don't know, IMHO, even if these gals were willing to do it, has anybody considered that these gals basically are NOT the brightest of the bunch and wouldn't really be able to really think independently - especially when they're all alone in a strange city and probably feeling the pressure to do whatever is needed to make their money in the short time that they're here?

Guess that is the other side of the blade....they are not dumb, but they just hv to take the calculated risk.....without the exposure (of their real face) on the internet, do you think guys would be coughing up $600-900 for 45 min with them? Basically that's what set them apart from the local girls (at $300-$500) - they are marketed for them prettier look and you have to show the face in the ad to back that claim.

I'm trying to set RA ratings but can't for some reason. I don't see the option above the subject header and I can't edit the rating next to the files when in edit mode. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated as I've just posted up some photos.

Currently, the engine does not provide RA setting functions for newbies, i.e. members or above only.
