Golf in CP/DG??

Hey all,

Am looking to head on up to CP/DG with some mates to play golf before an evening of fun and frivolity.  Some questions:

1.  Anyone care to join?
2.  Can anyone suggest a good golf course near CP so we don't waste time travelling?  I think there is a place called Citic ChangPing, but all of their phone numbers on the net are invalid.
3.  We are looking to go up on Sat 14 Nov.
4.  Approx costing of golf?
5.  Anyone know of a good massage (no hanky panky - save that for the karaoke session!) place in CP?

Thanks all for the input.

Go to any of the golf shops in HK and ask them for recommendations.  They have clients who have played golf all over southern China.

Mission Hills in Tangxia is the best golf course in all of China, bar none.  Why not go there, then head over to Goodview Tangxia for some fun afterwards? Expensive though, and you probably need to pay for membership.

If you're a non-member for Mission Hills, there should be a "trial game", bit cheaper.  It's like where you try out the course and a lady will introduce the club and persuade you join.  However, you don't really have to care about her.
The one nearest to you should be the DG course.

There's also one course that I particularly like and that is the Firestone Golf Course Shenzhen.  It's really nice.
If you're seeking for some challenge and don't mind ghetto clubhouse, then try 999 Golf Course. This basically right beside Mission Hills @ Guannan.  This golf course used to be reserved for high ranking officers in China only, but now open to public.  However, if you're a beginner, then I strongly suggest you to bring a lot of extra balls there.  It's quite tough.

Have fun!

CITIC Changping - played it about 5x.  Not particularly fond of it.  About 1000 on the weekends, 650 on the weekdays.  Course is near the train station, about a 15 min cab ride.  If you want to play at a good course, go play at Hillview in Nancheng.  Nice course, 36 holes so if you get backed up you can just jump to another 9.  Mission Hills is good as well but I would not goon the weekend because all the HK wannabe golfers play like they're competing in a major championship only to top it 20 yards.  Fucking drives me crazy.

Veggie massage - tian tian is not bad and inexpensive.  100 RMB for 2 hours.  There are two locations, one off the changhu highway and one in back of Tesco.
