Anybody know what goes on in the "champagne rooms" of US strip clubs?  curious as to the degree of action, if any..

In my limited experience with strip clubs, there was plenty of action...  but almost all of it involved serious flirting, vague promises of actual sexual activities, and large charges to my credit card.  If you want sex, strip clubs are seriously one hell of an expensive gamble...

Tried it once at spearmint rhinos, ordered a bottle of champagne and strawberries basically alot of petting and DFK she did stick her hands in my pants and i managed to finger her. Not worth it at all but it was a stag and there was 10 of us at the club.
Total cost for me that night with all the lap dances was $1300 US.  The amazing thing was our group managed to spend $27 000 US from 10:30 pm till 8:30 am.  
I think the champagne room cost me 300 US for a half hour session with the girl not including the champagne.

the Champagne room is one of the oldest ploys in the strip club world, a great business idea that sells plenty of sizzle and rarely delivers the steak.   It's a study in astute marketing, really.

Basically, from a business standpoint, it isn't about selling champagne (usually crappy fizzy wine, nothing special) but rather about financial commitment.   at $250 or whatever to "buy" the champagne, it leaves a ton of money on the table for the girls and the club to share.  Basically, in $250, the girls are getting probably $150-$175 and the club the rest to pay for the booze and the space.  Since the booze is probably a $20 item at most, the club does remarkably well renting out this space.

From a sales standpoint, it plays all the best strip club scams in one nice package.   It gives the girls something past a table dance to sell.  It gives the girls the chance to not do certain things on the floor, suggesting they could happen in the champagne room.   Without naming acts, the girls can get pretty suggestive as to what might happen in private.   There is also the "impress the girl" angle, which shows you are a "big spender" by taking her private.

Of course, the scam is never complete without at least one more upsell.   The girls will have an option to "sell you another bottle" or extend the time in some fashion.   In some clubs, the girls may offer additional "off the books" services for a price, such as hand jobs or fleeting blowjobs.   They may allow fingering or something similar, etc.  Some of these things are part of the deal, some of them may require a little extra tipping, or only come in the "second time period".

The final topper on the scam is the credit card issue.  As the costs for these champagne room trips are often past what most guys have in their pockets, there are only a couple of ways to pay:  Take money from the club's ATM machine, or use your credit card to buy "club cash".    Either way, the club is a winner.  The club cash is often discounted 20% to the girls ($100 of club cash gets her only $80 back from the club at the end of the night) and the ATMs are often rigged to provide no more than $100 at a time, with service charges in the $6 - $15 range.  

Basically, you are screwed from the word go, and not in the way we wish.

I personally would not go to the champagne room in a big city like Vegas or New York. However, in my current location, there are a few places that have a champagne room where if you click really well with the girl, anything goes.I've had more luck at local places where the girls are trying to build up a local/frequent client base but it all comes down to how you and the girl click.

Huge waste of money.  You would probably save money by buying a ticket to Macau or Thailand (just harder to explain to your girlfriend).

thanks everyone.  that's disappointing to hear.  i was recently at flashdancers in NYC (54th and broadway) and after about 3 consecutive lap dances, girl gave a grinding ass job/along with some grabbing HJ over the pants saying that she wanted me to blow.  so around $80 for a HJ from a hot stripper...
