Has anyone been hassled when they have say "no thanks". Is it easy or harder to refuse a hotel reservation or to a walk-up? Your advice to a novice to all this is much appreciated. Bicmetro

#2 Post at 10-8-2007 12:33  Profile P.M.  Font size: S M L Well I never had the hotel reservations before but the walk-up (you talking about 141 i presume) sometimes you just run...  if they look old or ugly...  hehehe  its a knee jerk reaction if you ask me.  But I've had times when I smile and say no thanks politely and they slam the door at me.  So you can't win.  Most of the times they just quickly close door and or slam it.  They rarely swear or do anything worse to you.  I usually smile and wave my hand or head and turn and walk away.  You get used to it.  Ive seen the brothers come and go like that.  You can go watch them and see what happens or what they do, walking away or turning them down after they open door is actually more frequently seen then them walking in.  (on average for most girls)   I gather its harder to turn the hotel reserv. girls down unless its a bait and switch thing.

I assume the risk you run is with the papa/mama-san if you want to use them again. I think a diplomatic call to them after you refuse the girl is a wise move. If you have a good reason to refuse, you should let them know. With bait and switch, some brothers have said that they screamed at the agent for wasting their time.

Phone up papasan/mamasan and say `not what i ordered or not happy with overall outlook?. End of the day you are the customer! Customer is always right!!!
