I have not been since Covid mask days as I have this very big fear. Assert dominance.  Ask them to join you.  Or tell them that you run the place and recommend some rooms to them.   Once I actually ran into someone who it seems was running the place.  It was a heavy set woman.  As I entered one of the corridors, this woman told me to step out as she was closing the door of the corridor.   Then she guided me to another corridor and rang a doorbell.  She talked to the young woman who opened the door and then motioned me to check her out.  Clearly this heavy set woman knew a few of the people there!  I thanked her and politely bailed out of there.

He never spoke to me after than unless it was about work and that too would a very short conversation. I eventually left the work and never thought of it again. I suppose it is very likely that you could run into someone on the street just as you turn into a well-known 141. Cap, glasses and mask is the really the only way to go unless you don't care. MeetMen scratches the Thai itch while providing privacy without that much of an upcharge (MMN is $600 HKD, most walk ups are $400-500 HKD). I also like the RG Mix stable but can understand how it may be too pricey relative to a walk up. I figure it’s just the cost of maintaining my privacy. An extra $100-200 HKD for peace of mind seems like a fair trade to me. But if it has to be a walk up, like others have said, take care to wear a hat, a mask and generic clothing that can’t be tied back to you.

It happens all the time, I understand they typically will leave the customers alone when it's inside of a properly documented 141, but in a hotel the police may not let you off so easily.
