Plannin to go to Macau so was doing a little research on hotels when I found this on Agoda.com

That room price is crazy and probably a mistake, or there is some exclusive party happening at the golden dragon.

Tried different sites and they all show the same crazy rate.

Nah - pretty well correct on those Internet Hotel booking sites.

Your best bet/good alternative is just to go the ShunTak center (where the Macau ferry pier is) and go to those travel agents specializing in things Macau. They've got different "all inclusive packages" to save quite a bit of money - for when they bundle "favorite activities" i.e gambling, mongering, with required services i.e. ferry transport, accommodation etc - they manage to cut the overall prices down.

The hotel pricing is actually a smart move. It's a tactic first introduced by Ikea, when someone in Alaska ordered a couch, the quoted price turned out to be USD1 million or more, and it was just because Ikea didn't want to bother with sending a couch to Alaska. I guess the hotel you had chosen just doesn't have anymore rooms left?

Is it possible that the Golden Dragon is fully booked no matter what date I select? A glitch I presume.

Nope, never once been exposed to the DFK thingy, never have the urge to ask as well coz I thought its the same as it is in my country.
I took masters degree there, and while 98% of my friends there are Chinese locals, we never touch these kind of areas when chatting, a shame really. Some of them even refuses to. Lets just say Im in the wrong circle of friends lol! Oh Im in Indonesia now btw.

LOL. I think all of us are online 12 hours a day nowadays. I keep the 141 site up on the background while I'm actually doing some regular work. Good way to keep me entertained throughout the day whilst I plug away in meaningless work.

But this time around I'm sort of caught with Long stock positions versus a bit inadequate short HSI futures.
I was trying to lift/add to one or the other side - but got buffeted...and then lulled by the comparatively quiet action at the bottom of the range.

And now.... I just gotta cross my fingers that my instincts are right when the markets re-open Monday
