I am currently in vacation mode...... counting down the days until till HK/China next month!!!     I think I have withdrawal symptoms from last time.. haha.. I started playing in TST with the local bar girls.. but its sets after sets of beer... freaking expensive, and they don't do shit with you afterwards!! Buy beer, and they think you're cheap.  You open up a 800 dollar Chivas and they still jump from table to table... I had enough of this!   Anyways... I've moved on from that and started playing in SZ.. but it got kind of old, as the girls will try to rush you to open a room since they have a 4 Hour time limit for sitting fee...... then I found CP.........

You can bet 90% of my time will be in China rather than HK now......

Yes CP IS still pretty good value in terms of quality, quantity and variety; but make no mistake about it - what with this place being practically the only locale around here where "services" are still available (vs Sehnzhen, Zhuhai, Chang An and other previous hot spots - which all have seen quite a bit of crackdown) prices ARE also going up rapidly.

And a funny thing I overheard just now, on the way over on the Direct train.

I couldnt help but overhear a few guys talking about which KTV they were gonna go to.  When they were discussing YiHao, they were lamenting that it was "cologne Water" there for anything good.  They kept on bandying this term around and I was plenty curious as to what it means -  when luckily one of the guys actually asked to clarify what it means.

The explanation is that it refers to the 4-7-11 pricing of the gals there, which of course matches that old time cologne "Eau De Cologne 4711"

I think I can check many of the items that you have suggested.  We both know that there is zero chance of any relationship.  Geography, language, age, desire -- it's obvious to both of us.  Things were kind of romantic at first, but she's now just another internet chat buddy and most of our conversations have become pretty mundane.  'Whatcha doing' or 'how are things going'.  But some days she is depressed and opens up a bit.  She is trying to plan her next steps, but can't see a happy future.  

Since I'm not in a position to send her any money, I'm not monitoring her savings, but she says she is saving what she can.

I just figured that this is probably a common problem.  A WG that wants to go civvie.  There has to be an army of do-gooders out there who have adopted this issue as their personal way of making the world a better place.  I was hoping that someone has stumbled upon them and I could point her to them.

Flying back soon, hopefully some of the contacts I made before my departure will carry me through the Universiade!

The collogne water comment is nice.  I do enjoy the mando and canto in terms of how they translate things...

for example:  Annoying -> fanxin
fan = to vex
xin = heart

Actually... what I was referring to is the unique usage of "Up-day" (Up-dated) or "Yeh" (Groovy, with-it, awesome etc) expressions (which are further examples of such use in Cantonese - using a new term AND borrowing a lot from English) in Cantonese conversations.  NOT classical Chinese words - which is what you gave. Fanxin is proper Chinese and not a bastardization of such as what Cantonese speakers are very fond of doing.

As an example, quite a few years back, the expression" Ke-Le-Fe" was used quite a bit to refer to quite useless people, hanger-ons etc and is a bastardization of the English word "Carefree."  Not sure, but I think that this popular lexicon (hmmm... I hope that I used this word correctly in this context!!) was first used on movie sets when they refer to "extras" as Ke-Le-Fe (Hey JacktheBat/Twice - correct me here if wrong!!  LOL!)

Tik Si (taxi), Liep (lift) are other examples of such borrowed English words - but this "cologne water" (Koo Luon Shui) takes the cake IMHO!!

Also, am interested to know WHY you have not gone back and seen her again - is it that you are just too far away and not able to, or for some other reason?  Are you planning to see her again?

First of all I would like to say hi as Im new to the forum.

I was in China for around 3 years and its very unfortunate that I only get to know this forum several days after I got back to my country for good! How I wish I could stay longer... Anyhow looking forward to go back to HK again later on for some sweet holiday

@cp141: LOL! Opening up 800 dollar bottle of Chivas won't get you any notice in Hong Kong. You have to go the baller route of at minimum Grey Goose or Don Perignon bubbles. Still, you'd be one in a million ballers in Hong Kong. CP's definitely the way to go. Thus your moniker I assume.

Nope - a bit wrong here about VPN and proxy servers etc AS FAR AS IT concerns the  141 DB pages - which I think is how most of us first went on to join this forum.

Admin/Sex141 had informed me in the past/I had checked it out that the 141 DB pages had been designed/programmed where ANY approaches from China, whether via VPN or live would be re-directed to Nightlife 141 instead of the main DB pages. This is what happens even now.

This is to "protect" the PRC Chinese gals who comes over to work in Hong Kong - and is one of the "marketing Tools" for recruiters - as they assure the gals that their details - and more importantly their DB PICTURES - will never be available to the prying eyes of their friends, relatives, neighbours etc in China; and thus the PRC WG's willingness to allow their pictures to be put up on the DB (versus local HKG gals who for the most part will insist on masking their identifiable features).

I emphasize DB pictures for in the past, the forum pages had been automatically censored by the Chinese Internet Great Wall - which was of course further rassurances to the PRC gals that their pictures/details was never gonna be available in China.

But of course this is no longer true - this and the Chinese 141 FORUM is now freely available in China (still not the DB pages)  - and I wonder if anybody would tell these gals this fact or not?!!  If they knew, I'd think that these gals would be way less agreeable to their clients' requests for "Real" pictures which are splashed all over our forum!  Ooops!

Actually I can start to monger here too, but the girls here arent comparable to the ones in HK or China. They do have them here but with crazy fees such as the J or K ones.
Never felt different emotion with DFK though, actually Im starting to like the normal ones better, DFK starting to feel rather plain, but Im still doing it coz of instinct.

The most annoying thing about surfing in China is the Great Wall. Everytime I go to HK it was like Im born again internet wise

On the DFK and IMHO - basically it is a bit of cultural thing with us Chinese.

Kissing - and especially DFK - is NOT something that had been in practice in old Chinese society; its only modern China where kissing has gained acceptance.

Further, Chinese thinks that the saliva is not clean (perhaps the reason too for Katooey/spitting all over??) and the mingling of such when DFK is just yucky and definitely unhygienic; after all, us Chinese believe strongly that we are what we eat.

You've been in China for 3 years and you didn't get an inkling at to this matter of DFK?  
What had you been doing here all this time??

I'd for sure would be interested to learn a bit more about your life here for those 3 years.

DFK I think is considered intimate for the girls...  reserved for those they like in 25% of time.  Others are just well pro WG and they do it as part of the package.  Bad breath, smoking breath, facial hair all might lower your chance of DFK.

I have never negotiated, but there are definitely girls who don't.  Best to try it in the KTV room, usually if they are game there then you are good.  If not, well you might have a bad pick/dead fish.

More specifically - in china 3 years without punting.  How was the monestary anyway?
