Good list. About posting others' pics, I can't see when there's an absolute need or I would even advise against it. Certainly don't include others' pics in reports, as some bros skim read reports and mistakenly think they belong to the report writer.  But if there is an absolute need, get the posters' permission first as some bros will get angry if their pics are used without their permission. Common courtesy. And add RA to match the RA that the pic presently has. But again, simply linking the thread with the pic is sufficient.

Oh I am well aware of their strategy and tactics.

I have absolutely no intention of doing the BF/GF thing.  I have every intention of travelling with her around the PI and watching her dance as much as possible until I am sick of her and then getting a new one.

Currently doing a cost analysis and might be shifting my mongering allocations around.  A little less CP could mean ALOT more AC!  I earn reward points for flying there to boot!

I for one would be VERY interested in your cost analysis - since things have gone up so much in CP and China as a whole.

Quite a few years back, I used to go down to Manila every 2 or 3 weeks and I had a blast then - but it was mostly civvies action so my PI mongering knowledge is quite rudimentary.

Not only has the RMB appreciated so much (I loved it when it was HK$ 1=RMB 1.06 instead of 0.825!) prices in RMB has also gone up tremendously of late.  And I mean just about everything has gone up by at least 20% during the past year alone - ridiculous!

OTH - the last time I went down to Manila just a few months back, I also saw all sorts fancy places still sprouting up and charging all sorts of fancy prices.  It always amazes me how PI can be so poor and yet so rich at the same time. The short drive from the airport to Makati  already offers enough contrast without even having to go to Tondo etc.  Amazing!

Approximate Cost:  642RMB (772HKD)  5.5 hours Travel Time (Return is the same as departure)

Guangzhou to CP (I live outside of GZ at the moment, so I add an extra hour to the travel time but no cost)
MTR 2.10RMB to GZ East Railway Station 15 minutes
Ticket from GZEast to Dongguan 55 RMB (do not bother with first class on the way there as you will have an assigned seat leaving from GZEeast) 45 minutes
Taxi from Train Station to Hotel/PZL - 20 RMB (I prefer moto for 10, have done bus for less) 10 minutes

Approximate Cost     77RMB (93 HKD)  2.5 Hours Travel Time  (The return trip is 5 rmb more as I book first class to assure a seat) 83 RMB (100HKD)  2.5 hours

AC - plenty of choices, but for me only one real one.  655RMB/Night (787HKD)

CP - 330RMB / 400 HKD (similar level of quality to ABC hotel, both places have MUCH cheaper alternatives)


**Girls**
AC - Short time 700 Pesos.  LT 1500-3500 (my current squeeze is a 3500 girl) 225RMB-525RMB

CP - Short time  250 RMB Overnight 900-2000RMB+ (my current favorites reside around the 1k overnight mark)

AC - As it is nice to be outside of mainland china cuisine, most of my meals cost 500 pesos (up to 1000pesos with the girl) 75 RMB (McDonalds can be had for 130 pesos (20 RMB)

CP - anywhere from 5 RMB for Xiao Lung Bao to 40 RMB McDonalds to 200+ Yam Cha/Restaurants.

AC - Beer at most bars 50pesos cheapest, 150pesos mega bar (lady drinks are double your own).  An amazing night out for me in drinks/fun will cost me 3000pesos (450RMB 540HKD).  A normal night out would cost me 1500 pesos (225 rmb 270 HKD)

CP - Works out to around 25 RMB a Bottle of Beer.  An average night at a KTV will cost me 500 RMB (600 HKD)

Top quality day in AC will cost me 1994 RMB a day. (Flight factored in for a 3 day stay)
Top quality day in CP will cost me 2207 RMB a day. (Nice food with girl overnight or pzl session etc etc)

**Things to Note**
This is comparing top quality days.  I can budget CP to cost less than 1000RMB a day whereas AC cost could only be cut by 800 RMB.  However, for this excersize I chose TOP Quality days instead of penny pinching days.
Hotel costs completely screw the per day cost of AC.  If I stayed in a budget hotel, that would drop my daily expenses by 400RMB.  I can also stay in a very swank apartment for 150 RMB, dropping my daily cost by 180 RMB
Cost of eating in CP can be very misleading, as can cost of eating in CP.  These values change widely from day to day, but I like to estimate high rather than low!
I can go to CP any weekend I feel like it.  I can only manage a decent AC trip on a 3 day weekend.  I can average one three day weekend a month.
I have developed several freebies in CP, this drops the girl cost considerably.
I can learn some chinese in CP.
I can converse freely in english in AC.


So with no way to measure the intangibles, sometimes they favor CP sometimes AC.  It looks like every 3 day weekend I will be flying to AC.

I would love to get enough experience about Pattaya to do the same analysis.

It looks like my mongering profile needs to adapt to this new situation.

Local BBS girls 3x a week. @ 200RMB a pop (minus freebies etc) 2400 RMB
CP Once a Month (probably a saturday) 2210 RMB
AC every long weekend. 6000RMB

My previous mongering profile was:

First thing I wonder is your choice of travel from GZ to HKIA.  Have you checked out the interactive HKIA website to figure out fares/routing etc? As an example, I see buses for HK$120 direct from GZ to HKIA http://www.hongkongairport.com/C ... 23&schemin2=59.

Or why your choice of 2.5 hours bus i/o CRH train RMB 90 GZ - SZ - which only takes an hour?

And BTW - I believe you mean Sheung Shui? Which is the first stop from Lowu on the MTR?

Some of the numbers are rounded up, especially food costs as they vary so greatly.

Going into GZ takes a lot of time for me, so depending on when I leave, its actually faster to go direct to SZ.  Though I will have to look into the GZ-> HKIA bus, that sounds pretty good depending on the time frame.

Though the return from the HKIA to GZ is pretty much a perfect choice, though it will cost me between 60-100RMB taxi from there to get home, still a good deal.  Will update with that a bit later.

If there was another straight GZ to HKIA bus I could use, that would be pretty sweet.  The bigger problem is that if I get off work at 5, there is no way I can board the flight on time without using a direct car to the border.  If I enter Lou Wu at 7, I get to the airport perfectly on time.  Otherwise not so much.  I am sure there have to be some better options of getting TO the airport.  I would love to hear them.  The next time someone does this trip around the same time frame, it would be nice to know how long it takes you.  (Departing GZ @ what time, Arriving HKIA @ what time.  As 3 hours means I would get to the airport at 8.  Which is doable... 8:20 is not


Also, if anyone knows what transport I should look at to getting to Pattaya, that might be another destination for me.  Looks like fly into BKK and take a private car or bus or taxi to Pattaya.


Yes I meant Sheung Shui.  Chinese still gives me plenty of trouble and I am currently suffering from stage 4 AC withdrawal and stage 2 CP withdrawal.

RMB 13 / pax with special of RMB 200 for unlimited entry for a month for ONE person or else a card for RMB 200 good for 20 entries by you and / or your friends.

OTH - the saunas here are also pretty good to "cool you down"  LOL!

But your AC listing of gals - you've got all the way from PP 700 to 3,500?  What different kind of gals/quality/services are these?

I know that Manila is different from AC - but in Manila, you've got the Bar Fine PLUS the Gal's fee separate and I had paid approx PP 3 to 5,000 all in the few times I partook there.  I also chose a gal (about a 3.5/5) from about 6 or so who were hanging around my hotel lobby (Robinson's apartelle - a real dump I got booked into by friend who thought it a great place LOL!) - obviously "waiting for clients" for PP 3,0000 in the afternoon.
I've also been to Saunas there and they're around the PP3-5,000 mark also.

Anyway.... you AC prices and the gals type etc please.

AC has JUST the bar fine and *looks around cautiously* a tip! (if they need to take a trike home, thats about 50pesos)

I think the only girls that are higher priced might be the "Daddy's Girls" at new blue nile top floor.

Santos Street is the only place I know that still offers up Short Time.

OK, I'll put up A Sheung (?) as a comparison -  a blast from BEFORE they raised the prices behind the Hui Mei when it was still universally RMB 150. I - or rather - she insisted on popping me a second time after I took her for a meal after the first pop.  Gave her RMB 200 (Shud only have been 100 more as I already paid the mommie 50) and she was a happy li'l trooper - and I guess I spent well over 3 hours with her. So perhaps a good comparison?

While I haven't ever taken an LB home, I did see someone else's reaction at a club once that was pretty hilarious.

Basically, there are a group of Thai LB's in Shanghai that are pretty well known if you frequent the clubs. They happened to be at this one club me and a few friends were at, and we saw a local guy dancing with one. There was a lot of heavy petting and kissing going on as well while they were dancing, and about 5 minutes later this guy's friend (well, I'm assuming its someone he knew) whispered something in the other guy's ear, and his mouth just about hit the ground. I want to say his look was priceless, but it was actually a little scary, wasn't sure how he would react. Luckily, he just ran off to the bathroom and the LB had a good laugh.

Santos 700p Bar Girl.

Just as in almost every bar, it runs the full gamut.

Santos bars are generally open 24 hours and are mostly open air.  Meaning you can walk by and look inside and see everyone.

Sometimes you only get ones that are too old to work at regular bars.  Sometimes you get the fresh girls that are too scared to work in a regular bar.  Girls that dont know how to dance or whatever.

I do have a picture of a 700p Santos girl that I had this trip.  She is an absolute TINY baby face girl.  Could easily be 12 years old.  I had to check her documentation.  Talked with her mommy and the bar owner before taking her.  Had her bring her bar ID birth certificate and a bunch of other stuff with her to my hotel just in case...

I can assure you she is of age.  She even showed me her cell phone pics of when she was having her baby... she is 19 turning 20.  

One of the benefits of staying at the Wild Orchid/Pacific Breeze is easy access to Santos street.  You can always see whats available as you are heading out for anything.  

Several times as we were walking out we saw some beautiful Santos girls but were stupid and did not barfine!  They are also available longtime for 1500pesos.

Just like in KTVs, you can find some perfect girls at the lowest price point and you can find some absolute duds at the highest price point.  There are plenty of girls working at the smaller bars for 1500 bar fines that should actually be priced at 3500 barfine... I will post up a picture of a girl that I got for 1500 longtime that now works at one of the mega bars for 3000.

The 1500 girl was an overnighter.  The 700p was just a 3hr.

Interesting tidbit.  FlatStamp (from another board) who was stayig at the same hotel and partying with us actually went to her bar to pick up my 700P girl right after I finished with her...
