Many people respond to a post without reading it fully or carefully (yes, I've done that, as have most of us) and miss the point.  Some just don't understand the subtlety and miss the point, and other just take it a face value and never get the joke. Either way it can start something as harmless as Wander's little discussion or a full on flame war when nothing really would have occurred if a wise-assed comment hadn't been misinterpreted. I believe if you want to say things to get a reaction go ahead, I do it as well, but understand the internets are imperfect and such actions are risky behavior. Nothing wrong with taking risks, but just be prepared to accept some of the blame when thing go awry and don't get all pissy and expect everyone to understand your jokes - some never will. This was the point of my comment to Miss P.
