I have been away from this site for about three months and I am thrilled that I came back. I think you guys have made some awesome improvements. I am honest when I say this. It now seems much easier to navigate through specific, and some new categories, like hotel walk ins (which I want to try next time I am in HK) and different massage places, like Veggie massage, even though I don't know what that means yet.
Some of the things I have noticed include the following: Now when I click on the first picture of a girl and a pop up window comes up, I can continue to click on that same pop up window and it will cycle through to the next picture and so on, so I no longer have to close the pop up window and click on a different picture which then opens up another pop up window. I really like the new "coupon" and "night-life buddies" links. Those are some nice touches. The bigger page number tabs to turn to the next page are a welcome thing too.
The only question that I do have, and I don't mean this as any kind of criticism, but for me when I am looking at, let's say, girls from Tsim Sha Tsui and the girl at the top of the page is named Turning (who is absolutely gorgeous btw) and I click on another girl's profile below her, thinking I will look at Turning next, when I hit the back button, Turning is no longer on the top. The order of the girls gets muddled up, which can make it more challenging to find certain girls.
Trust me, I can't really complain because this is and always has been a great outlet for girls in HK. I just wanted to give some feedback on the site. I also really like how well the Gal's DB has been organised.

You guys are certainly doing a great job of making this site more user friendly, which is greatly appreciated!

Am a bit curious - why have you NOT been back for such a long time?
Realize that you are now not in Hong Kong, and I guess it shuld be obvious why - but don't you find some of the reports on the international side - especially those from the States interesting/informative?

And are you never going to be back in Hong Kong - whereby you're not interested in keeping up-dated about the action and offering here?  LIke I said, a bit curious - as to your own "why-s" as well as what would make our forum more interesting to the casual visitor to Hong Kong.

Changes they-are-a-comin'!!

Twice have announced that there is soon gonna be major changes on our forum - and I guess the reclassification we've now seen is just the beginning.
I await with eagerness to see what are some of the other changes as well as an official pronouncement as to the reclassification of threads.

Meanwhile though, this perhaps is an opportune time for us to figure out the next step/where this Idle chat thread of ours should now evolve into.

First a few salient facts:

- Started 1-5-2011 = four months ago.
- Total posts 1349 = #3 TOP REPLIED post
- Number times viewed 21,319 = #19 TOP VIEWED THREAD

You guys think I should ask the Mods to move this thread to "Monger's Lounge?"

The best thing about this thread is that it's fast, one doesn't need to start a new thread to take up space on the forum with some simple quick chat.

How can we resolve this?

Perhaps best if we bide our time and see what others here think and want to do.

Heck we've been doin' this for the past 4 months - what's a few more days??!!! LOL!

And know what?  After my posting up the above salient points about our thread, I got all interested in figuring out just how much we've shared and cared!

And I calcullated that for the 4 months Jan-April 2011, the total number of posts on the whole forum is 29,181 posts;  and thus our 1,350 posts is 4.63% of ALL posts here.

Don't know what this statistics REALLY means
- Are we spamming?
- Are we all THAT interesting?
- Are we so friendly to each other that things come easy?
- Wow - there really IS a need for a thread for guys to just chat
- Time to ban SEAJ
- WHATEVER!!!!!  LOL

But I'd like to at least think that we HAVE done our part to not only show the spirit of Sharing and Caring - but to actually take the bull by its horn.

Well well, as there seems to be some " big " changes going on at our beloved 141 forum, I might as well announce my big change.  I am leaving everything about me in Shanghai and is moving to Beijing at the end of the month, taking a paycut, going from being my own boss to being an employee so I can learn some new things.  Beijing appears to be a rather " dry " city as far as mongering goes, but I'm sure I will find some good places and post all my intel here at 141!  

Ahhh.. Shanghai, memories.

Wow - that IS a heckuva change/move!

And I do NOT envy you!

I used to go up to Beijing a lot and I never really liked a lot of things there.

For one, the weather and the Dust storms are really bad - but the worst part is the generally "Stiff" and restrained attitude" of most Beijingers; in business, in shops/restaurants/clubs and even in just day-to-day dealings.  
Quite a "cold city" IMHO.

On the other hand, such an atmosphere made people who you befriend/befriends you to actually be quite warm and personable; as if such general unfreindliness makes people more appreciative/eager to form little islands of humanity and friendship. At least that's what I felt/found out there.

Yes, it's quite a big change, but change is good.  Sometimes one has to take two steps back to move forward.  

You say that people in Beijing have a cold attitude, I find them to be more real.  The Shanghainese are notoriously FAKE, they put on a smile when needed, but have hearts like the devils.  Professional backstabbers when the opportunity rises.  IMO a good amount of them are horrible petty lil people, especially the men.  I can't stand most Shanghainese men, have you ever ever ever met people soooo petty?  OMG it's ridiculous, even their tone of speech is based on a petty bickering argumentative tone.  It drives me crazy.   

I've always felt discontent living in Shanghai because the people annoy me.  Where I live, I have to love the city, love the people, and often I feel quite the opposite in SH.  The amount of douchebag foreigners here is astonishingly annoying as well, ABC's included.  This is the only city where you have snobby interns lol.  I could go on and on for days on this subject, but I'll try to stay more positive these days.  Shanghai has no soul.  

The one thing I will miss about Shanghai is my dear club, it's one of those places where people tell you it's a MUST GO when visiting Shanghai.  Yes I am tooting my own horn on this, but sometimes when you do something fairly memorable, one is allowed a small " toot. "  We made history, headlines, international press and recognition with that thing, therefore it will forever be a part of me, but I have to put that in my past so I can move forward.

Did you sell it off?

And the little that I know about running clubs - its always best to sell it off when it remains "hot" - for these things are fleeting and the "crowd" is always after the next new big thing.

And your assessment of Shanghai is perhaps quite close - but...hmmm.... you HAVE been there too long huh?!

And what you wrote about the furreners, ABC etc- made me laugh out aloud!

The place we created is a city staple, its very popular for it's own unique reasons, not the type of place that is " hot " it's more consistently good.  I shouldn't say anything more, anything more will be like giving the address out.  lol

Yes, i've been in SH too long, but I must admit, I never loved it, not even in my first few months, days, hours and minutes.  There are certain cities I loved the moment I got out of the airport, Shanghai was never one of them.
