Given the set of circumstances, what our agent writes is balanced and as such, for those who are contemplating joining KTV parties – make sure PRIOR to committing that you know what it is that you are committing to. You're paying the agent and it is thus NOT out of line for you to 'order' precisely what you want; no need for you to ask me or anybody else to tell him, now that this matter is out in the open, just go ahead and order what you want yourself!

And for the sake of those who are wondering what this is all about, I'd like to outline to you what it is exactly that we are discussing – the hooking up of an IPod to the KTV system to play supposed 'Chill' music all night instead of KTV singing – and the ramifications of such.

- Learned habit vs. Fish out of water.

KTV gals are trained and used to acting a certain way to 'entertain' their Beau of the night, which includes singing soppy love songs dedicated to him, singing duets, exaggerating appreciation of the punter's singing abilities etc. When you only have 'chill' songs, they really are like fish out of water with not knowing what to do. They then try to pick up what they think is expected mannerism for the situation and it all ends up in a stilted and artificial atmosphere for everyone.

- You'll end up paying more. Lots more!

As there is nothing else to do, both guys and gals end up just drinking and drinking lots more. Last Friday is a typical example as the Bill at 9:05 PM – barely 3 hours into the session, had already ballooned out to RMB 385. Ridiculous – how does anybody put away – what – 18? 24? Bottles of beer in 3 hours?

Is truly what happens when you've only got 'chill' (again – read B. O. R. I. N. G.) music on offer. It is just plain ole BORING!

Please refer to that caustic remark by the gal that I wrote about in my post #5034 below. The PRC Chinese as a whole can be quite xenophobic and ARE wont to have 'sentiments' anytime they feel that foreigners are not appreciative of their customs and 'druthers. But perhaps she was just getting a headache from listening to unfamiliar and strange music – I know I get such head-aches! But then again, my friend (who has been coming to China for over 30 years and CP over 10 years) and who had 'visited' us at our room that night had made a semi-serious joke about 'Man – you guys are going to be easy targets! ' with all the implications such joke is supposed to mean when he saw that we were playing our own music. And this friend should know as he's in the entertainment field and is well acquainted with just about all 'factions. '

- Silent night, Holy night.

YUP! That is how it feels to me when we've got that crap chill music on! Nobody moving about, the room bathed in the eerie and somber semi-darkness of the un-flickering still picture on at the TV screen, girls trying to act in an un-accustomed manner and everyone just getting smashed to relieve boredom.

- Forgeddaboudit – unless you're a fluent Chinese speaker!

WHAT and HOW are you going to be with your gal if you cain't converse with her? And there ain't nuthin' else to do when you're listening to chiill music. You cain't even join in the games – which are a must – as there really is nothing but stupid games to play under the circumstance. Oh, you can hold her hands all night long and stare forlornly into her eyes!

- You're in CP ForCrissakes – you're not in Rome or Cincinnati!

You want 'chill out' music – go to McDonalds like xxxxx say – or any other venue – and NOT a KTV where the rest of us also pay good money to enjoy what is expected to be enjoyed there! And if chill music is what you want –as what xxx says., then pick and chose such songs from the usually massive playlist available at most KTV's in CP – just like the rest of us need to do if we want to listen OR SING certain songs. Don't be so self-centered!

OK – all that I can think of right now! And whilst I am of course given to exaggeration, the REAL truth is very much central in what I have written above.

So, like I said – just tell our agent what you want.

And yes, I do enjoy listening to it - but tell me - personally - would you want to be lsitening to this type of music all night long at a KTV room??  It's pefectly fine at a club, a bar, a lounge - anywhere basically - but in a KTV room?

Way too pretentous I'd say - and totally boring in the context of it being played in a KTV room.

Anyway - yes, this is a great gift for all of us to listen to whilst surfing this site!!

I agree, in a KTV room, the music should be stupid fun and almost corny.  Light hearted at best.

I would agree this is more pleasant on the eyes, however have you noticed that busy pages are how Chinese sites are? Compare something like yahoo/ msn/ aol with qq.com, they don't even come close to qq.com. Wonder if it's a difference in browsing/ digital marketing habits.

But if there was a vote I would say stick to this format.

On the other hand, you MAY want to also emulate our JacktheBat with his posting of OLD girls' pictures accompanied by his reminiscence, explanations, psycho-babble-talk and whatever ON A SEPARATE THREAD where you probably would get more mileage (read K's !!) - IF readers like what you gotta say.  

Mind you though, you gotta be careful that you don't get somebody on the war path and slamming you for posting up irrelevance as the gal is no longer available etc;  You just gotta find a balance somewhere - and like I said, you may want to read up some of JtB's posts to get pointers on how you can put up your own thread.

Edit Ps - and just to "lead by example" - pls refer to my previous postings of vibrator gal. I've not gone to a FS sauna - or for that matter, ANY saunas in Hong Kong for at least a decade. Nowadays, I only go to saunas in China and Macao.  And even Macao, not as much as I used to go to - for the fact of the matter is that I get a heckuva lot better service and deal in China.

Younger, better looking gals at a fraction of the price - and thus fjakcass - I'd suggest that you should also consider going up to CP etc if you've got the time/opportunity;  and if its not going to be until next month - you should have plenty of time to arrange - no?

**On pictures in general – we on this board basically ONLY appreciate “real” pictures that are taken by ourselves. The only other pictures we find OK with are those of WG’s we’ve actually done – and making a report on -  but were not able to take pictures of. We are NOT interested in random pictures and would ONLY expect to see those in the AV section (which BTW – does NOT grant posting credits).

**On putting up your own avatar – go to “Member’s file” (button on the Right top corner of the page, “edit profile” and at the bottom of the page is where you would attach your own avatar – and signature etc if you want.

**About “rules” here – yes, there does SEEM to be a lot…but not really!! Most if not all the rules have been thought out and shaped through the input of the general membership and is designed to keep the forum spam free and to encourage good, contributing membership by everybody.

**As far as the “best” time to come to Hong Kong for mongering – I’d opine just about any time of the year except a week prior to and a couple weeks after the Chinese New Year when things just turn all “family oriented” for both the girls as well as the action.

Unfortunately, the short answer is – Not really!!

At least, the best and easiest way to achieve reading levels is by putting up your own GOOD report and hoping that others will grant you Karma points (1K = 1 posting credit) for your effort.
And we ain't particular as to where the report is about - and in fact a lot of us really like "International" reports as those are really useful for us when we do go out to your neck of the woods! We also love "overview" type of reports on the mongering action in your part of the world.

A few tips to make your reports as “productive” as possible:

-        Do NOT ask for K’s when you write a report – guys really frown on this and often will instead give you negative K’s instead – besides calling you names like “Karma whore!”
-        Do NOT put up any fake reports or include fake facts etc as doing that will really get you in hot water here; you see, a lot of us rely on such reports for our own “adventures” and …. Well, you get my drift
-        Try to include REAL pictures of the girl you are reporting on – those really turn the bros on here! But here again, make sure that its not “sneaked” pictures as we also have a rule NOT allowing this.  And please do remember to put appropriate rating (or PM a Mod to assist you if you’re still a newbie as you’re not able to do so yet) on the picture. A minimum of RA 20 for all real pictures and RA 30 for those showing face – even blurred ones.
-        To assist you to remember to include most of the “data and info” that most of us look for in a report, please try to use the template we have - http://forum.sex141.com/eforum/viewthread.php?tid=15731
-        If you don’t have your own real picture of the girl (and come to think of it, even if you DO have your own real pictures), you should try to post up her picture on her  Craiglist or whatever service you found her from. Indicate to us how closely she looks like/resemble this “ad” picture as we’re all very wary of all the Photo Shopping being done with the 141 Gals’ DB pictures.

Now, specific to your question – is there any other way to get posting credits – and the answer is of course yes!  Do so by participating in discussions at the various threads on a variety of topics. But here again, do NOT be tempted to post just for the sake of getting posting credits – for you will come a-cropper sooner or later doing this. Don’t ask obvious questions, give superfluous comments or thanks or blithe remarks – as they’re quite obvious and WILL attract negative K’s. But if you have good and real questions, or can share your own perspective, or suggest another way to approach the subject etc – in other words – really get into the discussion, then your contribution will not only be appreciated by others here, but more importantly will allow you to really enjoy yourself participating – for you will soon discover the spirit of sharing and caring doing so. A camaraderie that is quite real here amongst like minded guys discussing a subject near and dear to us all – MONGERING!

And last – and I hope not least – howzabout participating in this idle chat thread – for we have created this thread specifically for you guys who don’t have anything specific to report right then and there – for let’s face it, we really can NOT monger every day – right?! Just get into the swing of things here and I’m sure that you’ll very soon venture to other parts of the forum.
