I find most of the hotels that the HGs stay at are pretty clean. It's usually along the 3star hotels, so it's not bad. You should probably try one session first at their hotel room first, before you do an overnight, just in case you don't like her that much, since it's quite expensive. Most of the hotels are relatively easy to find. Hope that helps!

Totally undeserved as I'm just enjoing myself.  This forum IS very addicitive and I've really spent way too much time on it, but....!

And as for newbies - all of us were newbies to begin with and I very well remember some of my own foibles then - and thus nowadays, I have taken it upon myself to at least try to welcome those who are trying their best to be contributing members. You giving your POV is one such example and would I think be well appreciated by sjc66.

all i have to say this is one of the greatest threads in 141 history. when we perish from this planet scientists and archeologists will say gee there were some really fun moments back in the past. the pics rock and the reading is interesting.

Was at the Peninsula KTV last night and it was - like other KTV's here - completely full and I noticed that the bill at the end of the evening was a lot more expensive as their 1 for 1 beer deal is no longer on offer - its buy 2 for 1 now.

On the other hand, the volume and QUALITY of gals that they have was really great!  I was shuttling between a couple rooms of friends and whilst doing so, I saw a lot of gals still being herded by Mommies to various rooms' line-ups - and even late into the night, there were still gems to be picked.

IMHO, the Pen nowadays has the best crop of good looking girls attracted to work there as their rate has gone up to 2-6-9, 3-7-10 and 4-9-14.  One's got to pay for quality I guess.  Sigh.......!

i'll admit that while i have a general idea of the 3-number system, remember it's not entirely clear--pls do me a favor SEAJ, go ahead and spell it out. i'm sure it's in one of the China reports, but once u get to 14...what exactly do u get for yr 1400 RMB?

given the exchange rate and increasing numbers, i'm not sure i can afford to visit China...and has anyone noticed that HG rates seem to be creeping up too? the previously 700-800 HGs are now up to 900, and one even crossed the orange-note barrier. combined with reports that read "oh hurry up she's leaving saturday," which i don't get around to reading until Friday, not to mention the B&S and the lack of rooms, doesn't inspire mongers like myself to run around in the rain trying to book 'em.

fortunately, i was invited to the house of a good friend for dinner. his Thai wife (not a WG, he was doing NGO work in Thailand in the 80s, they've lived in Thailand/US/Philippines and now here and have two teenage sons) is the best Thai cook on the planet. i'm not kidding--she's an alchemist. she teaches cooking classes and i've taken two--i challenged her with difficult dishes and a "pick the ingredient" challenge (she had to make a larb--Isaan-style Thai dish--with something no one had ever used before). her creation was so good that it's now become a staple, and she served it tonight, along with penang muu and haw mok, stuff that's hard to find on ANY restaurant menu, even in Thailand. i'd forgotten how good her cooking is. best meal i've had this year. sat around and talked a lot...quality time.

so i gave up any thoughts of mongering, got a cab back with my pal, in a satiated mood and thought i would post a Mystery Pic...

a few notes:
1) this is among my top five WGs ever. i was far from her only fan. she outshone her environs by a factor often or twenty.
2) this is a selected closeup of a larger portrait, taken on the last day i ever saw her. i have heard her further circumstances from a trusted source and am delighted to report that she's happy/healthy and living very well.
3) in this particular time-slice, wealth was stored by her and her peers in the form of gold-bracelets on the arm. there were no ATMs. none of them had access to safes. what are you are seeing is not "bling," it was her savings account. and yes, this photo was taken THIS century.

The numbers are used to indicate the "pricing " of the various category of girls.  In the near past, most KTV gals in CP were priced 2-5-8, which means that you pay RMB 200 for her to sit with you, drink, play games etc for the whole evening AT THE KTV. If you then decide to take her out for ONE pop, then you only pay RMB 500 total for the gal (sitting fee no longer applies) and if you decide to have her overnight, then the fee rises up to RMB 800.

The pricing I wrote about is what they're now charging at the Peninsula Hotel KTV in Chang Ping, Dongguan, Guangdong Province for the various category of girls there. Raised the price to attract the cream of the crop to work there - which seems to have worked!

I feel the same way.  I am spending to too much too on the different forums.  I can't believe they are trying to raise the prices from 2/5/8 to something higher too in CP.  The place is already too diluted with all the new ktv's.

Probably not fake judging by curvature, prc girls would never go that big with some fakies, to go that big usually involves more then one operation, which equates to more money spent.  Now if she was American, then it is quite possible.

Awaiting the link - but what a coincidence!

At another board I write on, we have been discussing how some guys insists on playing their own music connected to their own Ipod when all of us go AND PAY our share of the costs.  They call it "chill music" - I call it crap at a KTV - especially when its 40+ YO guys thinking they're "cool" playing this music. I take the liberty to C+P and edit what I wrote on the other board to see what YOU GUYS think.

All this 'chill' music we've had to endure when we go to a KTV - I realize that most have refrained from actually complaining as I believe that they thought it not appropriate / too polite to make a big deal of their preferences. Quite unlike the way that some may have inadvertently but definitely done so by insisting on playing this crap chill music. But since I'm always the bad guy anyway, I may as well!

I believe that many amongst us may have 'tolerated' this, but IMHO, it doesn't mean that we all are happy with what has been happening of late when we've had to endure such rap or hip hop or whatever 'chill' music it's supposed to be (not really sure – us Swedes only listen to ABBA). In fact, SEVERAL guys have asked me personally as well as by PM and e-mail to say something. But what actually prompts me to now write about this is that one of the gals last Friday actually made a casual – but quite caustic remark stating along the line of "Oh yeah, these ABC's, they've got to show that they're different - HA-hA! ' And for good measure added "Yeah, our KTV is not good enough for them! ' – that I took to mean her resenting this callous show of airs / cultural superiority.

And when I think about it – why go to a KTV if all you wanted to do is to listen to your own 'chill' (read B. O. R. I. N. G.) music AND insisting that all others, who ARE also paying their fair share – to have to listen to this crap. Yeah, OK, KTV singing is also crap – but it IS what we go to a KTV for. One night I did notice that our agent had arranged for separate rooms for KTV singing and non singing and it should have been THE LEAST he should have done when the party consisted of so many PAYING attendees last Friday; as it is, I had guyS coming up to me to ask me to say something – and surprisingly, even someone I had just met that night told me that all this supposed 'chill' music was NOT what he had expected when he came all the way to China to experience; he was just sitting with his gal, not being able to speak to her and not knowing what he was doing and just getting bored with the whole thing. And he hilariously told me that he didn't come here to watch guys thinking they're cool, dancing, when they look like moose on mating call!

Oh, I did try to say something last Friday, but I was also ignored, and as I had another room I could go to, I just went ahead and left to go to that other room.

I personally go to a KTV to hang out with guys, sing a few songs, listen to others sing, play games, go silly and raucous – and definitely NOT to 'chill out, play quiet card games or listen to songs which I don't understand with all that swearing and cussing. To me, it's just boring, boring, BORING! Fine if it's just a half hour or so – but to have a whole night of this crap? Come ON! And if I'm bored – what do you think about the girls? They're bored shitless with it and it shows in the way they relate and act with the guys. BORED and cain't wait for it all to be over!

Anyway, I've opened it up – and now I would like to hear others' opinions.
