But I personally would not be comfortable with the shopping idea on the first date.  I hate shopping to begin with, so hard to fake much enjoyment for me, but it also opens up all sorts of situations that could blow the whole evening.  

For example:  I am not sure what you paid for the shoes you bought that gal -- but many shoes jump past $300, 400, 500 quickly!  And given the premise here is that you are the sugar daddy, what do you say when the pair she really loves is $500?  If you say no than you've just embedded the opposite image of you in her mind.  Same with lingere.., I am not sure what you paid for the lovely outfit above... (mm, lovely lass too!), but they can easily be more expensive than a nice dinner!  

I have gone shopping with gals that were already regulars, but we knew each other by that point and expectations where already in line.  A first date shopping-spree with a WYP date sounds risky to me.  Especially as you don't yet know if she is an "Anglerfish" bullshitter yet and just taking the dating money without putting out.  You've mentioned being burned by these gals yourself, so quite the risk to spend the cash before she's proven herself willing to get nekkid, right?

In case any bros were wondering, the Ladies side of WYP looks very similar to the Gents side.

I suppose the one silver lining of my non-successful Anglerdate with Alexa2014 was we were both curious what the "other side" of WYP looks like. So we agreed to trade open access to each others' WYP iphone apps.  One thing she didn't understand was why many of her "Accepted" dates remained locked. Perhaps they don't explain the credits required by gents to unlock them on the ladies side--or because she was a verifiable dumbshit.

Oh, she also showed me two cool local spots to eat and drink.  I guess that's worth something.

Why didn't I pull the ripcord earlier?  A) she had the best tits falling out of her dress the entire night, and B) we were at low-budget spots that didn't cost much.  So I waited it out...full knowing she wasn't going to grow any brain cells, but hoping she might give in to a little nookie.

I am going to be very wary of girls with "too good of photos" and who are too young (<24) going forward.  Red flags for me...

All very valid points Wander.  I've only used the shopping trip very sparingly.  But thus far, only twice on a first date.  Lingerie girl was a good option because she had all the right signals in communication that she was open to p4p but not comfortable putting a price on it.  I find this issue to be at play in many of my dates with these girls.  So to get the focus off cash I offered a short shopping trip.  You are 100% that if she went for that $500 pair I would have a decision to make.  Another thing I don't think I have mentioned in this thread is the type of girl I try to meet on WYP.  I think for me it is very important.

The girl in Wander's first post would never be one I would try and connect with on the site.  Mainly for one reason, she's too beautiful.  My experience has been if you go with the model types, you very often get one of two things. A pro, or a girl with GPS.  This isn't a hard and fast rule as Wander's awesome punt shows, but for me it has been more trouble than it is worth.

I like to select girls that are much more of a GND type.  For me these experiences have been the best overall.  The girls have a different self image and thus far they haven't been the serial daters or GPS either.  The bigger risk I have had with these girls is that they get close very fast.  Many say in heir profile they just want to be treated special or maybe like a princess.  Those are some key points for me in their profiles.  It screams previous bad boyfriends or unmet expectations.  Maybe it's like fucking a fat girl, they're grateful?

Too much psychology for a punting site, but it does seem to be getting me girls I thoroughly enjoy spending time with and ones that readily show their appreciation in my favorite ways.

I had seen this site before, since I'm on SeekingArrangement.  But I thought I would check it out, based on your advice.

I live (most of the time) in Bangkok.  I did a search of all profiles within 1000 miles of Bangkok.  38 women within that distance have been on the site in the last month.  Then I did a search of profiles within 25 miles of West LA.  104 women within that distance have been on the site in the last day.

Right, I've now got her number and I have sent her a text this morning introducing myself. Still not heard from her yet though. Her picture didn't get any hits from tineye or google. The WYP scene in Hong Kong doesn't seem that strong either. I am scouting some in ATL where I will be in a few weeks, but I think it is a much better site for US-based guys.

Yeah, I couldnt imagine bothering with this in HK, BKK, or anywhere else in Asia.  The availability, accessibility, price, and convenience of the local WG scene makes this a wickedly unnecessary challenge to go through.
