didn't someone else say in an earlier post, that this is just a side hobby, it can't be your life.

Come on, biologically, as men we need this stress relief. (especially in china & HK where the working/atmosphere is far from laid-back) See it simply as that - temporary Stress Relief. Its not a relationship. Its not a drug. Not a necessity or addiction either (it can be replaced with your left or right hand!)

Its exactly like having a cold beer and smoking a nice cigar after a hard day's work. It can't fix anything in your life, but its a nice treat for yourself. Over-indulgence will make you sick of it pretty quickly too.

Biologically, you can't argue with it. I mean, its in your DNA to have the urge to reproduce with another fertile woman.
Its only that current-day society says 1 man must be faithful to 1 woman.

Hey.... I guess you COULD substitute going to a hooker for standing in front of a mirror, forcing yourself to smile..... and making yourself happy.

Heck - both should in theory equally bring up your endorphins!!  LOL!

HI Bro,
Your either going to pay a WG or Girlfriend.  Your reallly paying a WG to get out of your life after the deed.  Believe me you dont want to be banging the same poon day after day.  Its cheaper to have a WG than being married.  Take this from my own experience.  We are lucky to be single.  Beats hearing the wining and complaining  from your long term relationship or  wife.
Bro you just have to find a hobby and a good friend.  I will be in HK in march.  Lets go party..  I am butt ugly guy but i have had some stunning girl friends.  Dont let your looks stop you.   Cheers.

Why is cheaper to be single?  I thought it is the opposite?  Two income under one household and you pay less taxes.

Cheaper for the wife but much, much more expensive for the husband.
As my ex used to say .. "what's yours is mine and what's mine is ... mine".

Thanks for this good thread.

I'm almost in the same situation as you horny141 and even worse. Indeed I live near Paris and WGs are more expensive than in HK. So unlike you I don't monger on a regular basis because I can't afford due to my low income.
Though when I travel and monger abroad in a country like Thailand, I do enjoy the punt for a short while butquickly something is always missing (friends, girlfriends, genuine hobbies etc...). I agree with the ones who previously said the problem seems to be the ATTITUDE because even in the best place one unhappy guy would still feel unhappy anyway. So the key is to work on this attitude towards life but as far as I'm concerned it's EASIER SAID THAN DONNE. But all the positive posts here make  me want to move my ass and work on this.

Cheers everybody

JeSun, we should really talk.  I was once where you are now.  I stuck it out for 11 more, miserable years.  In the end, my kids lost all respect for me, and I got reamed on my assets anyway.  And I lost 11 years of my life...  11 years that I will never get back.  Yes, kids need two parents.  But they still have two parents after a divorce.  We all deserve the opportunity to be happy...

I (like most Asian parents) want my kid to head to Stanford or Harvard or some school like that.  He has shown so far (he's got another 7 years before college) that he's not a top tier student (goes to one of the finest public schools in all of California), probably in the next tier.

Been there, done that...  Actually, we westerners don't have quite the same attitudes, so my comments may not apply.  I told my kids from day one that they could go wherever they wanted to go and do whatever they wanted to do.  But I also raised them to know that they would only get in life what they create.  They knew that I would pay for college, but after that they were on their own...  and if they chose to become a starving artist, I would love them, but let them suffer.  I am lucky.  They all did well and went to Ivy League schools.  But second tier is not so bad, if they are happy...

Have fun, CGP
