the Admin merely suspended sulasno's rights to moderate; the Admin did not ban sulasno to post

I have ways to ban sulasno from posting and I doubt anyone would be interested and it is not int the interest of anybody to discuss this matter period

I never said that the Admins barred Salasno from posting. I wondered if you did that to yourself, and you implied that my guess was correct. It's just that I thought it odd that someone with no Mod privileges could ban anyone, even if only himself, from posting. (But perhaps this is altogether too Machiavellian to be true.)

So things are obviously not as straightforward as they appear. Could it be that the Admins removed your right to moderate the forums, but that you retain some administrative capabilities, and among those is the power to ban?  If so, exactly what changed when the Admins temporarily removed your Mod status?

But don't worry Sulasno, I don't really care one way or another, and certainly don't plan to make an issue of it. Your status and privileges are between you and the Admins.

No mod can ban himself if that's the question you are asking (for academic purposes);

As far as I see this forum, it's simply a spinoff from the Chinese section;
I am speculating that there were too many posts made in English over at the Chinese section and the owner/Admin decided that an English section was appropriate;  There are still posts made in English over at the Chinese section.

I do not have (special) powers nor influence over this forum if that is your question; I am not related in any way nor manner to the owners/Admin of this forum; and I do not enjoy any special privileges here in this forum;

However I am glad that I have made more friends than enemies here (that is if you are asking);

would be interesting to know why puffdaddy bans sulasno wouldn't it? considering that they are buddies even before they become buddies sulasno was poking fun at puffdaddy a long time ago in the forum; and oh sulasno was also poking fun at beta although beta is no longer active in this forum.

I got sick of reporting threads to the Admin because some of the members would PM me, expecting me to take appropriate actions. you have access to the logs; check the dates; when was I granted mod's status? and as soon as I was granted mod's status, when did I request mod's status fro Hunter ? and when I got Hunter in, how long did it take for Puffdaddy to be granted mod's status ? and when there were more mods, when did I request for Sup Mod's status (so as to keep an eye on the mods) for myself and the rest?
Sadly some here viewed me as a power hungry grabber.  If I wanted power, I will be the only Mod here; I like this forum and will not allow anyone to damage it. It happens in every forum; Trolls, flamers, etc  you name it. Posting one liners just to satisfy their ego ? and you call that mature ?  isn't it worse over at the Chinese section? The mods here have done a good job and what did they get in the end? blows in the faces? hey, the mods are doing this forum a favour and surely they deserve something better than a blow in the face !!! All Mods are in consultation when making decisions except for one case where I ban Jake without the discussing; questioning the authority of a mod is a no no in any forum. Would you have hesitated to take necessary action if anyone would question your authority? high time for everyone here to respect the Mods; the mods are appointed by the Admin; by showing disrespect for the mods, what does it means? shouldn't those who disrespect the mods means showing disrespect for the Admin and the forum be ban?

I am willing to be responsible for English's actions and words. It is with deep regret that he choose to make one decision that I was not in favour, BUT it doesn't mean he doesn't have my support.  The Mods here are a team and shall jointly take responsibility for any actions.

Hmm.. Honestly.. I never treat it as a playground... rather I wish to know diff individuals.. That's all..

anyway... we should move on discussing sex rather than cultural issues since it is always complicated and misleading (even end up in racial issues..) given we do have different cultural perspectives.... And hence it may not wise or nice to jump on the conclusion by projecting ones' cutural beliefs.. either Chinese or English or other Cultures....

Of course it is great for us to express our opinion. Yet it seems to me that we have gone too far...  (not specificly "we" but "we" in general)
