You're very judgemental today bro ...

I don't think so! I'm not talking about morality. I'm just talking about making the best decisions in life.

Personal background: Memories from my childhood. My father had literally dozens of mistresses. Most nights he didn't even come home. And what I always wondered was "what's the point of a guy like this getting married?! WHY?!" So, maybe I have personal investment in the question.

do you find they keep their word to you?

Yes on both counts. I'm choosy, and I warn them along the way. This also means that may of them drop out along the way, because they want more than I can give. That's fine with me. It also helps that somehow I was born without a jealousy mechanism. Even when I try to make myself jealous, I just can't.

do you find they never change  ...

Have encountered exactly two headcases along the way -- where we had agreed to be fuckbuddies, and then I get her thinking that I had agreed to marry her. I've now learned to screen for that (a certain insecure/low-self-esteem personality type).

So, anyway, I'm interested to hear. Did your wife change? If she had stayed the same as when you married, would you not be seeing WGs?

as an interesting side note to this discussion.
How much does economics play into a Bros ability to Monger and his SO "Not Notice".

Does the reliance on a Bros earning potential allow for a wider range of activities that would normally not be permissible.

That seems an interesting wrinkle on this.
For the Bros with partners the real question may not be "Does your SO know"
but more one of "Does your SO choose not to see"

i find it interesting how many issues, even of a relationship nature, boil (n the end) down to one of Economics.

8th, this is based on the premise that the Bros are wearing the pants in the family.

In the era which we live in where everyone is clamouring for equal rights, there may be bros out there who are not the bread-winner in the family. Or even if he is, the SO has equal or more wealth and do not need to rely on the bro. In these situations, it boils down to "whether the SO knows" and not "whether SO chose not to see".

And my GF(s) will drown me in the water closet if they ever catch a hint that I'm even seeing someone else.. no need for details of what they will do should they know I'm doing WGs. Not strictly economics sometimes. But I do agree that in many cases, it is inevitable.
