A pilot bro....I always wanted to be a pilot..

I have a mate who is a pilot....Everytime when he is in the UK...We get together for drinks, he is still wearing his uniform...I introduce him as a stripogram....

I once gatecrashed a party the at the airline which he works for...

I was wearing a hired pilots uniform and the attention i was getting was amazing....

I am a trades person, also known as a construction/building professional.  Jack of all trades.

Unfortunately I don't look like one of the Villiage people.

Would it be really wrong if I said I was a teacher? Actually there've been quite a few news recently on university professors molesting their female students.

Im Retired at 48 years old from the medical profesion.  Im glad to be out of  the medical  field.  Im a very new forex and commodities trader.  I just completed a 4 year course on trading the markets.   Im just going to  begin  trading my own account  but would  like a opportunity to work in a firm in hong kong if i had the chance.  I specialize in risk managment.
Working for someone else sucks but i would do it just for the experience and living over seas.  Thats is why im taking a nice break and taking this well deserved vacation  before i start some serious trading.  Cheers

Thanks RICO;

You know, in Hong Kong, it is rather difficult to land an ideal job unless you know someone already working in that firm. Fortunately, I am doing some free-lance freight forwarding/Logistics work to get by and not getting too bored. So, I normally travel with my laptop when I visit Dong Guan (Chang Ping) and elsewhere in China.

ABout me and my laptop. Last August, on the MSN, I even shared live pictures of me and the WG with one guy. It was about 2AM then and he was home, I hope he didn't masturbate after seeing us.

I am retired and really looking for a way to imigrate to HK. I can do it except for one thing.....housing is way too high for me to afford living there.

I'm unemployed but just passed my PMP (project management professional) test. I'm hoping that the certification will lead to a good job in the coming months.

Wow, what a change in direction.  I am in the medical profession myself, and can't imagine making such a dramatic sea change at this stage in my life.  Were youfully qualified in your chosen field?  What in particular did you dislike about the profession?

Wow, what a change in direction.  I am in the medical profession myself, and can't imagine making such a dramatic sea change at this stage in my life.

An acquaintance of mine suddenly quit his job as an ER physician in order to train as a classical musician; he had enough money saved up to support himself (simply and frugally) for the rest of his life. Stories of physicians dropping out of the profession are fairly common. Another acquaintance quit his orthopedics practice to become an insurance company executive. Shorter hours, easier work, same money. I'm sure you've heard similar stories from colleagues.

But, at least in the US, usually when someone says something vague like "in the medical profession," it's a nurse or therapist or tech or assistant, not an MD.

I just spent a month in HK in December. The apartment I rents cost over $1300 US. It's 300 Sq Ft; no elevator. 82 steps from ground floor to my place. Damn near killed me walking those stairs. I suppose I can find a shared flat but I am used to my privacy. I can cut off a few trips to SZ to save money but that sort of defeat the purpose of living in HK.

No serviced apartment in HK for $1300 USD. Try about twice that as a potential low-end starting price.
