yes, incognito browsing is good (Private Browsing on firefox betas, InPrivate on IE8)  don't trust the Safari private browsing as it's still broken (the last time i checked)

I'd advise you to use Firefox then. You can set it to prompt to clear all history everytime you close Firefox. Good safety check for those who are forgetful. Otherwise, stick to Google Chrome for the incognito browsing.

Or could just password protect the laptop from anyone using your computer to prevent snooping eyes

what use does that do? As long as the browser history is inside the computer, the next user opening Firefox can access the browser history, so password protecting it isn't gonna be of much use. There are many ways to hide browsing activity from your wife or SO.

One simple way is just not browsing this site on the home computer. Just get a cheap laptop which you can browse at work, and browse with your own mobile broadband connection, and not via the office network.

Back on this threads topic, about mongerers who are married, or have SOs, is it different when mongering when you're married or when you only have a GF? I mean, do you feel more or less guilt, or does it impact the relationship more if you have a GF only?

Dunno - never needed to monger when single!!  

These days time pressure outweighs the thrill of the chase - can't be bothered to get into a girl's pants the long slow way - the cost is basically the same whether it's civvie or pro.  If I was single again would I monger?  Probably, at least at first, but the reality is my bed wouldn't be empty for long.  

The only difference I see is the potential consequences of being caught out.  Everything else is in your head, and changes as your view of how things "should be" changes.  I mean, if you're feeling guilty, you're probably doing something you decided a while back is "wrong" somehow.  Maybe someone told you only bad people do it, or something.  Find some reason to justify your choices -> feel less guilty.  Simple enough, really, doesn't change the underlying facts or the likely consequences.  The only difference is what's the story you're using to justify what you want to do.
