Well.....actually things WERE just like you suggest in the past.

Us non-natives/ABC's/CBC's etc would keep in touch with each other (mostly via ISG in those days), co-ordinate our times to come over, get together and swap information/leads and just watch each other's back.  It was kind of a small community amongst us and we did have a lot of good times. Then the Taiwanese tour groups started getting organized and organized well, followed by the Sammyboy guys and these "Agents" started operating and arranging things for even the lone stragglers who comes over.

Whilst in the past we DID arrange our own outings - KTV, BBS's, saunas etc - these things are now better organized by these professional agents.  For lets face it - arranging these kind of things is NOT an easy job - and I know for a fact that doing so is not only very onerous, it's quite a thankless job.  Worse, I've experienced just once too many times actuall monetary losses when somebody wouldn't show up at a KTV party I've arranged...and the rest of the guys insist that I should still "charge" the guy for being a "No-show" (yeah - right..me and whose army to go and collect this) or some idiot would not show up for his hotel room reservation which I guaranteed and even one particular wanker I remember actually walking away from his hotel bill....and the manager who I made the reservations through got after me!!  Oh, the hazards of organizing things for other mongers are plenty, varied, mostly unexpected....and is just something I now defer to the professional agents.

But Gwailoplayer - you're VERY welcome to try to organize such a trip and I will definitely join in and look forward to it. THANKS!

The above never actually happened; yeah there had been a few times when we'd arrange for a particular size/minimum charge KTV room, taking into account the supposed "Sure, I'll come's" we'd have to do the booking ... and then somebody or other would not show up. Worse, there had been time that the majority of these plonkers would at the last minute cancel out and the rest of us would haplessly then just need to cancel the whole KTV room booking; bookings which, especially on week-ends, can sometimes be very hard to get/would require having to go through a manager/KTV mommie (who has a quota of these rooms) and who really gets pissed if they cannot heave off the room that we cancelled to another party.   

Anyway, when we still went ahead with the KTV night even when some of these guys did not show up, it meant that the larger room (and higher minimum charge and additional KDJ etc) would actually not have been required.  Like I said, these things happened more times than we all would have liked and there was of course the grumbling along the lines of what I had relayed in my last post.  But there had never actually been an occasion when the rest of the guys would NOT have just paid a share of the total bill.

But such happening is only one of the quite a few problems with arranging for anything for guys coming up to CP - and I  am so glad that now, there ARE professional agents who would be handling all these petty ass things, leaving us guys to just enjoy it all.

Yup - Chang Ping is still in lock-down mode - at least it was so up to last night with most "Water"venues still closed.  

Regular joints like Pozolim etc re-opened but not the Sauna/BBS' and KTV's.  And it was kinda weird looking at all these KTV joint's advertisement frontage still all bright and lit up...with nary a car in the parking lot and of course, no traffic in and out of the joints.

Let's see what today brings!

OK, I'm a believer in karma.  What goes around comes around.  That said, if I say I'm partying with a group, I'm imagining I'd have to pay when I party there, or pay if I decide to cancel.  Kinda like a good-faith cancellation fee to apologize for the troubles.   Kinda like me stopping by a KTV party and have one or two beers.  Even though I stayed for 30 minutes, a small contribution is still a nice gesture.

I feel so bad for you guys in CP.  sitting at home, forced to post on 141 rather than being out there pooning.  You must be really starting to suffer.

I know someone on another forum who gets a corporate rate for hotels. He is a very senior and long time member. He gets PM's asking for help all the time and to show them around ( newbies )  He has never met thiese members before. The corporate rate is about 30% less than what is listed or walk in. He had the same problem of booking a hotel and a no show. There were no phone call, text message or phone call after he try to call and text.  It just looks very bad for him when he trys to book again from the same hotel.  He loses face in front of the hotel manager. He doesn't do it anymore. A  few got into trouble and asked for help in the middle of the night with translation. He felt like being a tour guide and NOT being paid. Good thing he did not have to put a deposit and lose it for the hotel.

Who is the ass hole, who walked away from his hotel bill and didn't pay ?

Like I said, the days of when we used to look out for each other in CP is pretty well over; don't know if this is a good thing or not though.

It IS a lot less onerous to just rely on a good agent to do most things for you and it is VERY EASY for even first time visitors to use these agents to navigate CP - but therein lies the rub - CP as a result is practically being over-run with all sorts ruining the market! Not only are they making the gals too used to providing sub-par services (who cares, there's ALWAYS another punter ready and eager to pay me for my favors!) but as result of the availability of guide services - we seem to be getting more and more BSD's seemingly eager to just throw Red Maos around like confetti - thus further exacerbating the already terrific inflationary pressures here.

Heck even OAH asks our friend to do his hotel bookings now!

Well I personally think that there are a whole lot more NON- HK mongers in CP these past 8 years. In the past most mongers in CP were from HK, people who were more english speaking or bi-cultural were a whole lot less and thus meeting up and forming a group of friends was essential if you wanted to go to KTVs. With these agents, you can join a group of guys for a KTV fun, even though you don't even know the guys you are partying with. So when you join a tour guide these days you spend the whole night sort of partying with yourself and your girl and you don't mix with others. Whereas in the past you party with friends so there's better synergy in the fun and partying. Everyone gets into the fun and games.

But these days it's more like a mission for these guys. They join a tour group, not really wanting to have fun, or not even sure if they guys who are in that room are fun, but their mission is just to bag a hot KTV girl for the night. before there was more camaraderie and guys were more cohesive in their partying schedule and activities.

These days it's just every guy for his own. Which is quite sad because coming to CP our initial and ultimate goal is to find WGs. But after you cum, part of the fun was hanging out with fellow brothers to shoot the sh*t and hang out and talk and converse and get a footie or coffee in the afternoon or something.

Now in CP you got Taiwanese tour guides, Singaporean tour guides, English Speaking Tour guides etc. It's so commercialized that CP has lost it's appeal of being the hole in the wall place that not many people know about or would dare adventure in without a veteran. The barrier to entry was much higher and took a whole lot of recon work to figure out how things work around town. Now, everything is handed to you in a silver plate, what's the fun in that?

We live in an age of youngsters like SEAN who demand instant gratification and want things NOW! what happened to perseverance through patience and discipline?

What I am afraid of that CP is getting too well know and big. It's just takes something to go wrong to shut the place down for a long long time. What happens if some foreigner ( Caucasian ) gets hurt or killed ? The newspapers and publicity will have an effect on CP. The authorities will have to do something.  You look at other stong places for mongering in Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and Houjie, Humen are gone.

What happens if Beijing steps in ?  I recall some of the officials are in jail because of bribery and corruption in other cities. I think it was ChongChing is once city.

There was never any tour guides before.....It was an underground, word of month active.

Only time will tell. Eventually you are right though, CP will be too much in the radar and something is bound to happen to the WG activities in town. So my advice is, enjoy it while it lasts, because nothing good ever lasts for too long. We have seen the crack down on Shenzhen, Zhuhai and elsewhere, where WG activities were rampant, widespread and easily accessible. But sooner or later, there's going to be a major cleaning up in major red light districts.

Let's just hope we still got a few more years left of fun in CP. Otherwise, we will have to wander to new territories for fun.

CP is the last really strong hold in Southern China. Like I mentioned many place in Southern China are gone or tone down. Guangzhou, Zhuhai, Dongguan City,Humen, Chang An, and Shenzhen were great places. My favorite place was Sha Zui in Shenzhen. This place once had 3000 working girls. Then the local gov't crackdown and paraded girls and johns for everyone to see and the world media.

If CP is shutdown, the safest place after CP for Southern China would be Macau. OTH, I don't like Macau for many reason. First, it's expensive for girls, and hotels. Second, when a grl gets recurited to Macau, she is already a seaoned pro and a little older. Majority has been working as a working girl for a while before getting into Macau.

actually I'm with Tuffbod here ... the only way the well-known places can possibly have "seasoned pro"s who are "a little older" is if there is a nest somewhere providing a supply of inexperienced girls who are getting more seasoned.  The girls work because they are motivated to work, and LE neither can nor wants to completely stamp out the trade.  

It just moves somewhere else, any time the activities become big enough to make a big political show of shutting it down.

I have noticed and recognized a few girls that were formerly working girls in Zhuhai that were recruited to working in Macau. I noticed them in Macau about 7-10 months later. Five girls told me they were back in Zhuhai after being busted in Macau for over staying their visa. They can't go back into Macau for a while.

If Chang Ping Closes completely, where would you suggest people to go in Southern China that is a gold mine for working girls ?  I woulKd guess Hong Kong and Macau.

Singapore has its Four Floor of Whores, Hong Kong its Mongkok and Southern China its Chang Ping nowadays as being the only sex-centric area left.

And all those places you mentioned in China - Zhuhai, Shatsui, shenzhen etc- yes a shadow of their former glory nowadays.   And I remember CP even as late as 3 or 4 years ago - at least 6 BBS's around the Yalan area, the same numbers behind the Hui Mei, over 10 at the SWL area, the half dozen or so at the night market, the catacombs plus those Bread- van-whore-houses-on-wheels all ready to show you at least half a dozen gals with jut 1 phone call!!

Nowadays? Just 1 or 2 popping open/close behind the Hui Mei, less than half a dozen at SWL and no more Yalan, no more night market (except that pathetic operation at the Jun Hui we still call the night market), no more catacombs and those bread vans - even for just regular use - are fast disappearing from the streets of CP.

So what happened? My THEORY is that the powers-that-be's has a master plan for the water trade to be "Up-graded and concentrated." Rid most other S. China locales of most of these type venues - especially the lower priced ones and concentrate most such activities to Chang Ping.  And for Chang Ping itself, to also crack down on the lower priced options and encourage the build-up of better permanent places of entertainment.
Result - Easier for this trade to be monitored AND taxed, still have this entertainment available BUT to economically limit it/discourage wanton behaviour by making it too expensive for many and even curb criminal gangs who routinely prey on small operators/would not have much "leverage" against well capitalized, "connected" and properly run businesses.

So what's the latest action about if my theory is correct?  Well....once a while the authorities will still need to show they are still in charge - especially when things are verging on spinning out of control. And the latest incidences in Chang Ping is probably their cue to act now.

Totally agree with you!

It's not that Sex went away. It's just that all the low end BBS at Yalan and SWL all upgraded. When SWL closed for renovation, the SWL BBS moved to Jun Hui, but even at that point, Mommies were tired of BBS being too troublesome and thus many upgraded to work at Lihao and mayflower and even Yihao KTV, setting up their girls to work in the 2-6-9 categories. BBS only slimmed down because they realized that as a mommie, going to KTV is more lucrative than BBS. At BBS they got penny change, they got to give most of the house money to the owner. But at a KTV they keep most of the girl's sitting and ST and LT fees for themselves. They are in an air conditioned room at the KTV and don't need to stand at some street corner and get harassed by LE and sometimes even dragged to the police station to be put in jail and needing to pay their way out.

It's really all due to the KTVs popping out in CP that has caused the BBS to decline. because CP has upgraded into more and more high end now. Thus, the low end categories for BBS is less attractive for girls to work at. Look at the BBS talent these days. Girls are so smart now, they work for 1-2 weeks and they jump ship to work at a KTV. Before BBS girls stuck around because there weren't that many KTVs to work at or recruit. But nowadays, KTVs are constantly lacking talent.

is it because CP is more main-stream? Well it's more of CP's sex trade has upgraded and thus mongers coming in have upgraded their spending habits to accommodate. But in the end something's got to give. As economy sours and mongers pockets are drying up, KTVs are now suffering. There needs to be a balance in order for CP to maintain it's competitive edge. Having a whole bunch of KTVs is not the way to go. You need to mix it up with Saunas, BBS etc in order to attract a healthy array of mongers to town.

But you are right, the even cleaned out the catacombs. Everyone in China wants to upgrade. Wait until iphone 5 comes around.

I know of a BBS girl I done twice. I don't know if I want to pimp her out. She said she is very low on  money and wants me to come back ASAP.
