I rarely do it to them but they are always doing it to me and to themselves.  Unless you are father of the year, or if Mars is father of the year... then you guys could make judgment.  I try my best to raise my boys in an environment that they are comfortable with and I try my best to raise them all to be Alpha males because it is really hard to be Asian and live in the states because of the bias and racism towards us as a submissive, coolie-like group who only listens to the emperor and follow Confucius'  five canons.  White boys and other races have always tried to undermine me in school but I always held my own.  People from Asia won't understand because you are the majority, but ask anyone who has lived outside of Asia and they will tell you the same.  I need my boys to be masculine and tough so that they could compete in this world where WE are the underdogs.  It's a dog eat dog world here and Asians have a bad rap.  Good thing about my boys is that they ARE a pack and they will defend one another till the death if they have to even though they are only kids.  If Asians don't stick together and become aggressive, we will always have this submissive feel in the states.  Perhaps if we lived in HK, I wouldn't have them as rough as they are but overall I think it's fine and fun.  4 out of 5 in my household are males, so it's a testosterone driven house...  wanna hear something funny?  My oldest wants a weight lifting set and my two youngest wants boxing gloves.  I don't mind having lots of sports in my house and I certainly don't mind male bonding.  You won't understand unless you have three boys, it's pure aggression in this house except during homework time when everyone sits their asses down for 2 hours without talking (btw... this is a matriarchal household) Whenever the wife talks, we all shut up and follow orders! Dude, you don't understand because you are NOT Asian.  Asians have a huge disadvantage here in the states.  It's even worse where you are from, you should know that more than anyone.  If I were White, things would be so much easier, we have to work twice as hard to get to where a White person would get.  Aggression is a tool, it helps build confidence, it helps my boys raise their hands in class more than other Asians, you just have no idea because you are not and never will be in our shoes.  Ask ANYONE Asian who lives in a western country, we have it bad, we have to really find any edge we can and if you feel it is wrong, then you can teach your kids otherwise, you can be a different father than I.  I am doing the best I could with what I have, I feel this is right and other Asians see my boys as ultra confident and wished that they could do the same with their kids.  If I had a little girl, I think it would be different but hey... Call me senile sexpert, but I cannot see the connection between your feelings of victimization and this bizarre dick-grabbing thing. That IS what we're talking about here, isn't it? The ancient Spartans sent 13 yr-old boys out into the wilderness to live to toughen them up; is it your idea that dick-grabbing has the same effect on a weak child?   I think you're just trying to give noble reasons for something that, as you say in your poll, you think is a fun thing guys do to bond with each other. That is what I disagree with.

It seems to me that Asian-Americans are doing quite well for themselves, both academically and professionally. And they're succeeding because their parents take a strong interest in their childrens education. I doubt very much that 41 percent of the Berkley student body is Asian-American because their parents ran around playing dick games with their kids.
