To have 1000s of pics of dead bodies on his phone will not help his cause either.

I read they are investigating to see if there are other victims.... possibly not in Hong Kong.
With that many photos of dead bodies and wounds this guy will certainly end up in an institution.

To think he walked the same streets us as and visited the same bars us as is freaking scary.

I bet his ex is counting her lucky stars it wasn't her. They'll most likely see if the pics are matched online thru ways that are more technological advanced than we have at our disposal. If they don't match, then I can see them searching records for cold cases. They'll also comb his place for trophies. He fits the profile so well. Educated, apparently kept to himself, etc..

How is this?

An out-of-office email apparently set up by Mr Jutting at his former employer Merrill Lynch warned recipients he was "an insane psychopath".

"I am out of the office. Indefinitely. For urgent enquiries, or indeed any enquiries, please contact someone who is not an insane psychopath," the email is said to have read.

The media is not too good with their investigative reporting since she has been in hk many times and as far back as 2012 according to pics on her facebook newsfeed.

I knew Jesse fairly well. Hung with her many times. Went out with her more than a handful of times and kept a whatsapp running conversation with her about various things for about 2 years.

In Saturday evening, I noticed on her Whatsapp header that she hadn't been online since 11:32PM Friday night.  That was very unusual and I sent her a message asking if everything was OK. She was dead already when I sent the note.

So sad that she met such an untimely end.  So brutally murdered. Based on what I've read in the papers (such poor coverage actually. Shocking), she was dying as he called the police.  Who even knows how long it took the police to arrive. Those of us who have lived in HK for a long time know that the Hk police are not known for their prompt reaction.

It's just awful.  RIP Jesse.

Some of you know I have a former wanchai WG who I became totally, uncontrollably, smitten with (we're going on 8 years now).  She's married now and has been out of the scene for some time.  We still chat daily, and always, and up to this day.

Her young 19 year old sister (feels  like my sister too... I have met her many times) is now in HK and following the golden path -- hit Wanchai, have some fun, make some money, find a gweilo to marrry and take care of her...

She knew Aliz (Alice) (RIP pretty girl).  Makati was a common bar for her.. and sometimes my gal's sis would go there too.
..
It was fun.  It was profitable. AND you might find a rich husband too!!!  Wow, right?

The risks were minimal.  Or so it seemed.

There is an abnormally high percentage of sick crazy people who prey on prostittutes.  All over the world.

My baby just asked me to find her sis a job in my country.   Anything.  Get her out of the biz.  Yeah.  Of course, right?

I want her out too.

I conrverse with  Bros on here and have met many, many like-minded bros (thanks to 141).  Most of us punters are the perfect client... gentle, respectful.

But it only takes that one monster.

One bad call on her part.  One bad decision.

And how does she decide which is which?  Who's good, and who's a physcho killer?

It remains a very risky profession.  Even in the "super-safe" environment of Hong Kong.

I have often wondered the same thing.

The last girl I took from Neptunes 3 had her friends leave early and she stayed on with bro Petay and I drinking.
Later on the both of us left for the hotel and had some fun.   First squirter I have had.

In the morning I realized she did not have a mobile phone so it was impossible for anyone to know where she was.
She did not register at the hotel on arrival.

What an amazing risk to take. Sure she spent a few hours with me at Neptunes 3 but really I was still a complete stranger.
I honestly don't know how these girls do it. Like you said it only takes one....

It seems like this guy was well known in the Philippine too. From the News article, it seems like he

was a big spender too.

Wee
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

http://news.yahoo.com/philippine ... -h-k-074605799.html

Philippine sin city was magnet for Briton charged in Hong Kong

Angeles City (Philippines) (AFP) - A wealthy British banker charged over grisly twin murders in Hong Kong was a regular in a shabby red-light district of the Philippines where he liked to flash his cash and was treated like a king.

The women in skimpy outfits working the short stretch of go-go and hostess bars of Angeles City remember Rurik Jutting fondly.

At the cramped Del Rio bar, workers said he would swig bottles of a local low-calorie beer while handing out cash, buying everyone rounds of drinks and keeping an eye on one of the dancers, who would become his girlfriend.

Women would rush to the door when they saw Jutting arrive and lead him to his favourite spot, a mouldy fake-leather couch that they covered with a pink blanket so he would not get rashes on his legs, said 26-year-old hostess Joy Reyes.

"He's a big spender. Everyone would welcome him whenever he's here. It also doesn't hurt that he is handsome," she said.

Jutting would pull out a folded wad of cash from his right pocket, and would peel off notes from the bundle to give away, according to bartender Linda Laida, 43.

"It shows that he's a banker. He knows how to count his money fast and knew exactly how much he was giving out," Laida said.

------------

- Relationship break-up -

The women at the Del Rio said Jutting would spend up to 20,000 pesos ($450) a night at the bar -- the equivalent of an annual income for many people in the Philippines.

Jutting had been a regular there since January, and soon began dating one of the hostesses who would later appear in photos with him on his Facebook page, according to her colleagues.

But the two apparently broke up in August after he was seen with a different woman on his arm, they said. That was the last time they saw him there.

The ex-girlfriend, who now works at another Angeles bar, did not return messages from AFP seeking comment. A co-worker said on Wednesday that she had not reported to work for four days.

Jutting was charged with murder this week in Hong Kong, where he worked as a securities trader for Bank of America Merrill Lynch, after police found two dead Indonesian women in his luxury apartment.

------------------------

- Escape from poverty -

Angeles City, a couple of hours' drive north of the capital Manila, emerged as a red-light district decades ago when the United States had a major air base nearby.

The bars and love hotels remained after the base closed in 1991, continuing to lure women from the poorest Filipino families.

One of the workers at the Del Rio, Len Alumarde, said she lost her job as a computer saleswoman when Super Typhoon Haiyan hit her hometown last year in the eastern Philippines.

She moved to Angeles two months ago after being unable to find a job at home.

"I want to find a foreigner to help me support my family, or even just for friendship," the 24-year-old told AFP.

-------------------------

Alumarde said she earned up to 3,000 pesos ($67) a night in tips from Koreans and Australians at the bar.

A drink for the women at the bar costs 250 pesos and they receive 100 pesos of that.

Managers of other bars said it was up to women to negotiate with their clients if they wanted to take them outside of the bar, with a night of sex costing around 1,000 pesos ($22).

- 'Paradise' -

At nightfall, the Angeles bars light up and huge speakers blare out pop music while women try to entice customers into the bars.

In the lobby of a hotel where a hostess worker said Jutting once stayed, one clock displays Sydney time, another London time, while a third clock is set to Manila time and labelled "Paradise".

"This is an entertainment place," said 48-year-old Carol Bomedian, who has been running one bar for over a decade.

"We have what they're looking for."

I'm sure we would be naive to think this guy wasn't a member of this board.  Question is, who is he?

Thought about that as well. It's possible he wasn't as his speed was more the Wanchai bars rather than 141.  But, he we'll have been a member. Police would know by now I'm sure and perhaps trolling the forum for indications and to see if ther are hints of other victims.  I hope there aren't others although it seems unlikely there aren't any.

i'm sorry Jake but i can't agree. He seems disorganized (in the sense of the FBI's behavior-profiling unit that profiles serial killers--one of their main criteria is organized vs disorganized) and joining a forum doesn't seem consistent. He also had a busy schedule frequenting not only Wanchai but Angeles City, plus the job duties to finance his pricey flat. And he's batshit insane and will (hopefully) be locked up forever so he can't perform any more horrors.

That just doesn't sound like a forum-member to me, even someone that lurks for vicarious thrills.

I don't need to comment on this but I will: this behavior is deeply vile. An expat with a cushy overseas-posting uses it to prey on less fortunate people, in an industry where women are at risk. I won't go on, except to say that my heart goes out to the family and friends of these young women.

Indeed.  His recent girlfriend has now been "outed" as a Angels City dancer/WG as well....  likely not something she hoped everyone in her hometown would know.  A lot more of such collateral damage to come, I bet.

Interesting article in Canada's National Post puts part of the blame on HK's workaholic culture.
http://www.nationalpost.com/m/wp/news/blog.html?b=news.nationalpost.com/2014/11/09/british-banker-rurik-juttings-year-as-one-of-hong-kongs-ghost-people-before-he-was-accused-of-murdering-two-women&pubdate=2014-11-09

QUOTE:
Rurik Jutting lived in a small, precise and unreal world. Each working day he would move between two skyscrapers, his home and his office, just three minutes apart by taxi.

When he returned to his apartment building, a tall sliver of grey stone and blue glass, he could swim in the rooftop pool, smoke in the cigar room or eat in a Michelin three-star restaurant, all without stepping outside. But often he would walk for exactly four minutes to his local pub, The Old China Hand, a dimly lit wood-panelled room seemingly transported from an English suburb to the heart of Hong Kong. A Union flag flies outside the door, there is sport on the television, Tetley’s bitter on tap and roast beef on the menu.

The 29-year-old would pop in a few times a week and order a bourbon and Coke or a pint of bitter. He might cut loose with a group of his friends from the bank, racking up bills of at least $900.

And stepping out from the pub, it takes less than a minute into another world again, to the New Makati nightclub where young girls in Lycra dresses buzz around expats, searching for those who want to pay for company.

Jutting’s year in Hong Kong, from when he arrived in the summer of 2013, unfolded in an area smaller than one square mile. But it was an alienating life underneath the island’s neon towers. To the locals, expats in Hong Kong are “gweilo,” or ghost people, so-named because of the whiteness of their skin. But the nickname also sums up how foreigners drift, rootless, through the city.

The tatty red light district of Wan Chai is far less desperate than the saunas of Macau, where human-trafficking is rife. But it is a playground for the ego, where rich bankers can feel like demigods.

“Their life is kind of sad and boring,” said one former investment banker. “Fourteen hour shifts, no friends, no transferable skills, empty homes, no relationships, lots of abuse and control coming on to them, a boring job that they cannot explain, and no idea what is going on because they do not even have the time to read the newspaper. That explains all the drugs and hookers.

“Both [sex and drugs] are super common but of course they don’t like to talk about it. It is a weird culture. One of the reasons why they are so comfortable with sex service is that they work 14 hours a day and they would never be able to maintain a relationship. Society here looks away so it is easier for them to misbehave,” he added.

For a while, Jutting did have an attachment, to a woman known as Yanie, whom he met in Angeles City in the Philippines, whose far sleazier nightlife draws weekend sex tourists from Hong Kong. “He fell in love,” said one of their mutual friends. But “Yanie” ended the relationship over the summer. “Based on what he said, she split with him,” the friend said.

After that, his behaviour grew increasingly erratic. He would vanish for days and then arrive at the Old China Hand to wolf down several meals at once, eating fish and chips and a steak and kidney pie at the same time. He would roam the bar picking up other customers’ drinks. “If you let him bully you a bit then you could be friends. He would say: ’Oh, is that your drink?’ And he would grab your drink and drink it,” said one bartender.

And he would seek out women at the New Makati, where he eventually found one of two alleged victims last week. According to the police’s timeline of events, he may even have returned to the pub for a pint after allegedly killing his first victim, 25-year-old Sumarti Ningsih, whose body was found in a suitcase on his 31st-floor balcony.

By the time he was arrested, pallid, unshaven and bloated, he was almost unrecognizable from the photographs taken in the years before he arrived in Hong Kong.

People chat at the British-themed bar, Old China Hand, in Hong Kong's Wan Chai district on Wednesday, where Rurik Jutting was known to frequent.

Those showed him as a smiling schoolboy, with a tousled mop of chestnut hair, in his prep school uniform, or as a slim athletic undergraduate, dashing in a blue shirt.

He grew up in Surrey, and his mother ran a nursery class in Chertsey before opening up a milkshake bar in Woking. His father is a millwright, an engineer who installs machinery. From four to eight years old, Jutting went to the now-closed Wallop prep school. “It was very small, more like a local village school, not pretentious or anything like that,” says one former classmate. “Rurik was a quiet boy.”

Then he went to Abberley Hall, a boarding school in Worcestershire, and on to Winchester College, where he won a scholarship. Here, his friends say he embraced its ultra-competitive environment, shaving off his hair and adopting the nickname “killer,” derived from “Kirur” his name spelt backwards, and joining the school rowing team.

One Winchester contemporary, who went to Oxford University and is now based in Sydney, says: “The rowers were usually the guys who were quite introverted and would go out there and really punish themselves. They were difficult to talk to. They did have a bit of a reputation as being a bit mental and you weren’t really sure about them.

“There is a lot of ego around the school. It is a very difficult school to get into it and a lot of focus around achievement. Getting a job that pays an extremely high amount of money was seen as the main achievement in life.”

From there, he won a place at Peterhouse College, Cambridge, in 2005, where he also joined the rowing club and was the secretary of Clio, an undergraduate history society. Photographs on his Facebook page show him punting with two female friends down the Cam and enjoying lavish formal dinners by candlelight in Peterhouse’s 700-year-old wood-panelled hall. He was also a member of the cross-country team.

In 2008, after graduating, he joined Barclays, where he worked in the structured capital markets (SCM) team, an exotic branch of finance that can be lavishly paid. The 100 or so members of his unit had to devise complex tax arrangements on behalf of extremely wealthy customers and companies. The division, which was said to have been wound down in February 2013 was criticized by Nigel Lawson – Lord Lawson – for engaging in “industrial-scale tax avoidance.”

“They are all very specialized in a kind of very esoteric tax,” one source said of the tight-knit group. “It is a very nerdy area but there is a way to make a lot of money in it and they all specialize in that.”

As a member of the SCM unit, Mr. Jutting would have been earning “upwards of half a million dollars,” the source added. In Hong Kong – where he performed a similar role for Bank of America/Merrill Lynch – he is likely to have been paid even more.

With more money than he could spend, a high-pressure job, a series of broken relationships and a red-light district on his doorstep, he seems to have spiralled out of control in recent weeks, turning up at The Old China Hand, his local pub, and shouting that he was a psychopath. One friend said they had become increasingly concerned about his mental state and urged Mr. Jutting to seek help. “He didn’t even consult the doctor,” they said.

Jutting has been charged with the murders of Sumarti Ningsih and Seneng Mujiasih, 29. He is due back in court Monday.

i'm sorry Jake but i can't agree. He seems disorganized (in the sense of the FBI's behavior-profiling unit that profiles serial killers--one of their main criteria is organized vs disorganized) and  ...

While I respect your opinion, I must disagree regarding your classification of this person.  He is a classic organized killer. His current toll of victims puts him in the spree category rather than serial.

His ability to do all of the things you state, hold a high profile position, travel frequently, effectively manage a semi-traditional relationship, and manage his psychosis for as long as he seemingly did lend credence to the classification as organized.

What would be of interest is knowing if he recently experienced some type of stressor in his personal life. In the break point of a spree killer it is often a situational breakdown that causes their escalation from a under-the-surface boil to an outright roiling cauldron.

His actions are indicative of an insane person in the way he contacted LE himself.

In the legal world, the saying is that a crazy person doesn't know they are crazy.  In other words, a crazy person will commit their crime regardless of the reality of their own apprehension.  They do what they do, no matter what.

But I could be wrong.
