For the same reason, I prefer the simple beautiful elegance of Song Dynasty monochromes to the flashy polychrome Ching Dynasty porcelains that are so highly valued here in HK. Yes, I know I sound like a snob when I write this, but it's a very accurate comparison, and Chinese ceramics are a passion of mine.

so i prefer to wear swatch for all i care.. watch purposes...to tell time....i don't even wear one anymore since there is always time on the mobile phone...

I suspect that, yes, you probably are a snob. Perhaps you think that many of the people in HK who wear a Rolex are somehow 'not worthy' and have 'forgotten
their place'. I would agree that many who wear a Rolex don't appreciate the fact that they have a classic watch on their wrist. But we're talking about the watch,
not the people who wear it.      

OK, OK, so I suffer from Rolex Envy - my watch is so tiny and insignificant, I'm always embarrassed in front of the other guys in the gym. That's me in the fake polo shirt in the corner with the towel draped across my left wrist as I change into my sweats.   No peakingggg......

I know your prefer an elegant leather strap and this model has one with a tasteful leopard skin print. Trust me bro, you'll look and feel great as you strut your stuff down Nathan Road.   

Oh yeah, since you won't need your insignificant, tiny Jaeger LeCoultre Master Réserve de Marche anymore, you'd might as well give that to me.

I have to agree.

Whilst some brands manufacture watches that are very hard to resist, it's off putting to know that once it's on your wrist, it's lost about 60-70% of its value. However, with Rolex, because they seldom modify or change their designs, their residual value kinda makes them a no loss/thought buy. For example, i bought my Exp 1 Nov last yr and the price of this watch has gone up twice since.
