In a way I do see how the easiness of getting sex nowadays makes him lose the motivation to actually go fall in love with a girl and get her. I swear that some of my bros have told me, "Your relationship with a girl takes a dive after you've slept with her." This is personally verified  at least for the first year when I was 22 then.

Your point is generally sound, as to me the key factor is that
this is ultimately a pay-for-service transaction, where the girl
is motivated by few/none of the qualities of the punter other

But I must disagree that GFE is a "sure thing." I have had

I agree fundamentally with everything you said. While I can't speak for yourself, haven't we all been there given his age and presumed lack of maturity? When you're young you think you know it all, and lots of youngsters these days have a bit of that entitlement complex.
