This was in Chinatown, NYC near the outskirts in a sketchy and quiet part not too far from the Lower East Side. I don't remember anyone following me that night but you may be right, it's definitely a possibility.

Wicked, $120 USD can get you laid in NYC. Thats more money than I expected, certainly compared to all asian countries and even australia depending where u go. I presume this was 1 hour booking?

They say it's for an hour but the average amount of time they give you is about 30 minutes +/-, maybe 45 minutes if they like you and if you're lucky. $120 USD is about the average price for these type of joints in Chinatown; you can find them advertising in Chinese newspapers. There are cheaper places that cost $80 but they're independents who are all older and unattractive see lais. You're scraping the bottom of the barrell there and there have been some really cheap mongers who even talked down the price.

If you are at least average looking, young, have a big dick, you will be luck.  You will be serving fat, ugly old ladies.  You will see fat butts  sitting on your face every hour until your bill is paid.  If you are unlucky, you be a "butt boy" for gay clients.

The hotel entrances are monitored.. in front of one of those more infamous hotels in TST, there is a Sauna and I understand at least one of the agents is in league with that sauna, I've seen the girl that stands at the entrance checking me out as I walk into the hotel across the street. I've been close with some of the JGs and I know sometimes on a slow day they make them work in the Sauna.

Not to mention, they have windows up above that they can easily use for more discrete observation. They often ask "are you in the lobby now?" upon which they pause, they are looking for someone talking on the phone.

In front of some of the other hotels there are usually a local Chinese restaurant (chan chan tang) and the 'body guards' will hang out in this places, take calls and step outside to look at arriving punters (if they don't know you).

You can bet if you try to bolt, the girl will have her agent on speed dial and there will be a few guys down at the lobby by the time you get there to harass you and try to put the fear of god in you.

Seriously though, the guys that play at being triad now days are a far cry from the triads of the 1970-80s. Most of these organizations have been shut-down and crippled compared to their former glory days and very few of the members have any experience performing any real physical violence and are really just kids playing at organized crime.

It would just be verbal threats and harassing phone calls, smoking, tattoo-bearing kids trying to get in your face.. they wouldn't hang around long because someone will call the police quickly. Hong Kong people are actually very naive and respond to empty threats with avid fear.. there are stories left over from earlier decades where the debt-collectors chain up someone's front door and set it on fire. If someone doesn't pay the bills these debt collectors send big red letter notes making very vague threats... they shiver in fear! It's funny though, they are very empty threats, it's a bank or a utility, do they really think they could get away with doing crime to recover out-standing debt? LOL They can't really do anything but take you to court.

Hong Kong is a very safe city with very little blue collar crime - (trust me, 90% of HK's crimes are white collar - LOL). You'd be greeted by the guys downstairs... that would give you a dirty look and if they were really brave they'd yell at you and try to push you away from the hotel.. they have to work around there and they don't want witnesses. They are in risk of the hotel calling the police if they make a scene.. you have to remember they are the ones in danger of getting arrested by the police - not you. They don't know if you've dialed 999 as you came down and the police are just moments away (HK police are pretty responsive, on average arriving in less than 5 mins after an emergency call).

Why would they risk going to jail over 800$ when they have 20 customers calling at that moment and they can get 8000$ in a few hours?

You could give them the slip, you wouldn't get beat up (or turned into a boy toy). You would get black-listed. Next time you called (even if you called with a different mobile) as soon as you showed up at the lobby and they had a look at you - they'd refuse service. Pictures of you with mobile phone would be spread around to the other agents.

Don't take that bet in the US though, police are very slow to respond.. there is plenty of time for them to fuck you up -and they will. Nobody in the US wants to be a witness and few will even call the police if they see something going down.. people think it's none of their business and if you are in that situation you deserved it anyway (and you probably did).

you would have to wash dishes the whole day..  to make up for your dish.. just imagine dish washers in my place make 20-30 an hour!
