While no two judges will every be identical in their judgements, you have to leave it to the courts to sentence offenders.  Sure there will be some imperfections, but it's a better system than letting the legislature pre-judge everyone with mandatory sentencing laws. #23 Post at 11-5-2010 18:33  Profile P.M.  Font size: S M L Yeah, the bible thumpers, universities and the liberals have made alot of things sex crimes and screwed up everybody.  I have to agree America is horrible in that way.  It getting way out of hand, it's to the point sexual harrassment could be anything.  I have been looking for ways to change the laws but find somehow it's one really controlling public out there. #24 Post at 11-5-2010 22:29  Profile P.M.  Font size: S M L Reply #23 chewie10's post If you read into American History, you will understand that America was initially settled mostly by various religious fundamentalist groups that were being kicked out of their home European countries.  So the basis for that undercurrent of sexual conservatism in the US has a very long history. Now if the US was settled by groups similar to the ones that settled Australia in the beginning, I think the US culture would be more open-minded with regards to sex.
