There is something I have on my mind that I have been abit afraid of saying, only because i dont want to be seen as "complaining/bitching" etc

I can understand the need to be careful in allowing spammers and one liners into the forum just for karma and acceptance whoring purposes, but at times (though very rarely) Ive been given negatives.  Its not a huge problem, though I find these were based more on that particular persons level of acceptance of standards, where we clearly differ.

These differences it seems are based on cultural differences or so it seems, as I couldnt see them hating me or anything like that in a personal way.

I guess my suggestion is to perhaps have a way of letting the genuine people who want to be active know, what is and isnt "generally" accepted.  Again I hope i dont come across negatively etc, Its only something i wanted to raise.

you can send a PM to those who gave u negative points, to find out the reason and understand it.

we cant please everyone, but maybe some of those who negged you had simple issues which you can easily address.

Also a good idea to have a read through some of the old postings in forum affairs to see which way the wind blows on a variety of topics.

Personally I see the cultural differences excuse as a cop out.

When I wrote the original report I was a MM full of zeal, now I'm a jaded KK and try to leave the negging to the mods. particularly in the less defined areas such as chat.
