I would never be in financial trouble for mongering, as I earn a good living, but I must admit to feeling very guilty about the times I have gone on mongering benders in places like Macau, and then on the way home, counting up the costs are realising it is in the 1000s USD.  Oh well, you only live once.

I like the budget idea.  

I'm semi retired now and have slowed down, quit the more expensive HGs and restricted Macau trips to twice per year.  The phone appointments and young girls walk ups provide the best value and that is what I have been chasing.  It would be too easy to blow my life savings on the hobby but that would not be sensible.  The low interest rates of the past couple of years have really hurt me but it just means that I carry on with the semi retired situation for longer.  Keeps me active and therefore extends my fertility life.  I think its easier now to do the hobby with minimal investment.  There are so many HGs that supply outstrips demand and the overflow into phone appointments.  That is the time to pounce.  And with more than 200 HGs in TST at the moment I feel the phone appointments will expand in the coming days.  This is usually the trend if you have noticed.  We're back to full strength after CJY with the exception of the phone appointments.

I had been in this situation, considering the fact that i'm just earning the minimum wage here in HK. With many financial responsibilities to my parents, to monger for about 3 times a month would be difficult for me in terms of money.

I got broke and i owe money from **** hahaha but i stopped for a month now and it means that i could pay my debt at the end of the month hopefully!!! I got addicted to bbfs... Wahahaha

If you are making minimum wage in HK, then even a 200 HKD walk-up would be a good 4-5% of your salary.

Actually, in any country in the world, minimum wage earners would have a very hard time justifying the expense of WGs as it would be a huge percentage of their income.  This of course is without the context of the debt/conditions that led one to take a minimum wage job.

I doubt the guy selling clothes in Giordano goes mongering on a frequent/if ever basis.

I just keep the mongering when I travel to HK or China.  I find it just too expensive in Canada.  Where WG's charge anywhere from $250/hr and up.  For 1 hour in Canada, I can have a whole lot more fun in China.  By keeping it that way, my budget for WG's is pretty reasonable.

Like with everything it is best to live within one's means. Keep to a budget and do not overspend or waste your money. That way you will be content.

A more higher job than that of course. hahaha. it's true that mongering here in HK is cheap but in my situation if i exceed my limit i'll be going into more debts for sure.

Yeah, but I've seen dirt cheap whores too.  I forgot where or what report but I could swear I've seen someone pay 130 or something like that on temple street?  or something.  The cheapest we have in NYC are the cheap latinas, for about 300 HKD but it's literally shit, you go in there, pull down your pants, get a 10 second bj till you are barely hard and then she spreads her legs, out in 10 mins if you can do it since there is a 15 min limit.  Otherwise you have to pay 600HKD for an old lady, anything above that is simply incredibly expensive.  People make minimum wage here too and you figure 120 USD for an average WG could easily take up 10-15% of their monthly salary.  I can't imagine anyone not being able to afford a dirt cheap 130 HKD whore.  I know a guy who literally makes pizzas for about 6k HKD a month and he mongers 2 times a month.

It is an expensive hobby. I know I will be broke from this trip to Asia. I will be hopping Asia for 2 months starting in May. Going to Japan, Taiwan, Korea, China and HK I plan to see a girl once a day! Can't wait for my trip to start. I'll be in Vancouver next month. Let's see what kind of talent is out there.

2 times a month is still stable for me. There are times that I get tempted to try 5 in a month   ( standard of 350-400 per gal + tips and thats 2k already of my 8hkd salary ) but after that when i think of the apartment that i half rent with my mother here in HK.. i felt disappointed about myself spending that too much.. .

But anyway that's just life... I just wanna spend the rest of my life as happy as i could be. eating and pounding pussies in all kinds!

No problem finacially from it.Its just a hobby.
I can see how it could effect some guys and put them in a bind.
But ya just got to use moderation.
I always make sure I have the money in the bank ahead of time and pay off the credit card first thing.
If I were filthy rich I would be in HK all the time and having 2 and 3 gals a day and some overnights,but in reality Im just a working stiff and only get to HK 2 -3 times a year.
Just get your bills paid and whats left save it up for a trip to Hk simple.

If I live in HK, I don't think I could help myself from mongering all the time, it is so much better AND cheaper than in Australia.I guess earning money in a strong foreign currency makes mongering in HK / Macau seem cheaper than it really is.

I'm not in any financial difficulties but the combination of the last recession and the collapse in the value of sterling has forced me to cut back on my mongering activities.

That pizza guy you know probably has no responsiblities to anybody, or simply ignores them.

If every dollar you make is disposable income, then yeah, you can definitely afford to go whoring.  But if you have a family, or still supporting your parents/siblings etc, then every dollar probably counts.

I've met some people in HK that can't afford to split dinner with me, let alone blow 100 HKD on some cheap BJ in Temple Street.

It's a tough world for some people.

I'm guessing you are right.   Most of the people I know in HK are financially decent, and the only dirt poor stories I hear are the ones in movies.

To answer the original question, mongering did it for me !! I was spending an average of $6,000 - $10,000/- per month on WGs of various prices and yes, the addiction got so bad that I had to force myself into a very disciplined mongering expenditure which now stands to just below $2000/month.

I am glad I didnt let it (mongering) become an addiction that could ruin me further.
