Was wondering what this thread was all about... Tribute to journeymen? That means people who participate without reporting on WGs, right? Why do they need a tribute? Are they dying or something?

And is this label really necessary? There are all sorts of people on here, each with individuality... Me thinks cannot class people just like that!

You're not listening again... What makes you think people who are unable or do not report are considered undesirable?

To me a Journeyman means someone is an Apprentice; someone is still learning the ropes. In that respect I think I can qualify as a journeyman.

I joined this forum over a year ago purely just lurk around. I took a trip to Hk about 9 months ago; did some punting but did not report. I was not comfortable of doing that at the time.

Last December I was in HK again and did A LOT more hobbying than the previous trip. I felt compelled to review what I did. I acquired knowledge from reading the reports. I was able to find places to play on my own because of what I learned. I wanted to share my experience.

I remember after my first report in the China section, SEAJ suggested that I break my report into sections. It was a valid suggestion and was appreciated. However, I felt, from my reading in the forum, I was able to learn better with a long detailed report. I continued using that style. I am not only learning. I am trying to pass my experience to newbies so they can learn too.

I don't do any mongering at home not because of the lack of opportunities. I live in SIN city after all. But to get the quality I can get in Asia I have to dish out outrageous amount.

I am a lot more comfortable now in expressing my view and experiences after a few posts. I will continue my JOURNEY and learn from the best.

Since they are NOT undesireables - I started this thread to not only acknoweldge them - but to also give praise them for THEIR contribution.... oft times NOT appreciated well enough as evidenced by the lack of karma points given to them. (vs the multiple karmas for reports).

As for what I'm on about, I guess if you want me to look deep, I'm just pondering on the purpose of these sentiments of yours for the "journeymen". But that in itself is not really a big issue, and you can post whatever you like on these forums, whenever the itch comes.

SEAJ isn't talking about "Them" SEAJ is talking about himself.  He feels put-down by the Forum for all the negs he got as a Newbie and he feels the need to justify himself.  He's been bragging about how he's single-handedly changed the tune in here and made it more friendly to non-reviewers.

So SEAJ sees himself as the stereotypical "Journeyman Poster" a guy who doesn't post reviews but posts comments.  Certainly nothing wrong with that, but the pain for the rest of us is the difference between how SEAJ sees himself and how the rest of us experience his nonsense; to SEAJ hundreds of strings of serial postings to his own posts is "contribution" and a righteous crusade to change Sex141 to his own liking, but to the rest of us it's an overbearing and annoying violation of the posting guidelines.

Of course the ultimate irony is that, after all his whining about being negged, now SEAJ wants us to round up a posse and go neg other Newbies.

Hey - that rounding up a posse thing may be just how he sees it - only that he doth protest that boys don't get to join!!  LOL!

And I guess there ARE boys who never learns and will continue making a nuisance of himself just because he wants to gain post credits.  Sure I got negged (and it was NEVER for one liners!) when I started - but I learned and am now trying to work it within the system to TRY to make our forum just that li'l better.

I wrote a few "field reports" and even those I of course had my critics - but that's all water under the bridge - but meanwhile I also learned about the "new posts" list and THAT has been what got me very involved with 141.

And this is when I see that there were quite a lot of these members I refer to as being "Journeyman Posters" - some good/adds that flavor to the discussion - and lots of one liners who just distracts.

Thus the reason for this thread and my recent " Posse"  LOL!
