primer on HK films
I would say that over 50%, probably more, of the great HK movies have involved only a few name superstars: Jackie Chan, Chow Yun-Fat, Stephen Chow, and to a slightly smaller extent Jet Li and Andy Lau. These are the guys that, almost without exception, if they're in the movie, it's a box office success. What's weird, excluding Andy Lau, there has only been 1 or 2 movies where more than one of these actors have appeared in together.
