try 1/4 for the first time;

you might have problems is getting it down

as for prolonging, it would depend on your will power.

read the instructions carefully;

if you are on nitrates for chest pain, do not use V's.

V's should preferably be taken 1 hour before any activity and on an empty stomach or at least 2 hours after meals. avoid fatty food when using V's. visit V's site to get more info

my first experience with V's was the darn thing refused to stand down within the next 3 hours. Go figure

Had to increased the dosage after using V's for a few times; not sure whether it is due to my intake of beer; now I alternate between 1 pill and half a pill.  Note that max dosage per 24 hours is 100mg.

Use TrickyD7's recommendation;

take half a pill an hour before punting and continue with the other half 6-10 hours later;
you will be pumping 24 hours
