#21 Post at 21-7-2009 05:12  Profile P.M.  Font size: S M L raped by airplane company Ok, I tried to rebook my flight from CAN to HKG today about 3 days early, they said it would be 300 euro! The flight is only about 120 euro. So I asked if I could just cancel it, and they said they would erase it for me with no money back. What a rip off. But owell, now I have to find the best train to go from guangzhou to hongkong, I heard there was a direct connection amd it would be about $380 HKG. So I will go for that I think. Hotels are very expensive in hkg, wow about 5 times the cost of china. But I guess for 2 night I can effort it. No worries there. I will let you know my story later...

#22 Post at 22-7-2009 13:59  Profile P.M.  Font size: S M L Reply #21 justaman's post Yes train is best - it's very fast, and they're very frequent, direct through to Hung Hom station just 5 min taxi from TST - It's 90 min and HK$ 190 last time I travelled - you go through HK Immigration after you arrive.   If for any reason you can't get a seat (e.g. fri night peak period) don't worry:  the service from GZ to Shenzhen is even cheaper and even more frequent, and the walk from the train station to the border is about 10 min if you walk slowly.  Border crossing is easy and the train in HK is right thereon the other side - in this case to TST east station and you can walk straight to any of the TST hotels from there.  Or taxi if you have luggage. Looking forward to all the fun. If any of you bros would like to hang out please PM me, I am in hongkong 26/9 to 29/9. Thanks! Oh yes, after getting so much advise here, I actually changed my plans, and are spending more time in HK.
