Went there last night to have a peek. Definitely quieter than normal, less punters and little less girls working. Maybe due to Xmas holiday's I guess. Didn’t see any jap WG on the usual 2nd floor unfortunately.

Went today around 2:30pm, 2/3 of the place was closed or busy. Each floor had 1 or 2 corridors closed, 2/F (the lowest punting floor) was completely dead. Russian alley closed. Only saw around 2-3 Thais. But….the remaining few Mainland WGs I saw (around 12-15 of them) were very good lookers, at least 7s.

I visited HK for the first time and checked out JSL a month before the bust occurred. Had a good time and saw several providers.

If I'm understanding HK laws correctly, I should avoid seeing visiting (Thai/Vietnamese/Russian) providers due to visa violations? I was excited to visit HK again later this year, but I'm worried about getting caught up in a bust.

@icyblue
I'm sure there have been discussions of personal experience with such busts but I can't find them with a quick search. From the FAQ: https://forum.141-161.com/viewthread.php?tid=19916&extra=page%3D1

How safe is mongering in Hong Kong?

Basically, VERY SAFE, either from get mugged by robber or caught by police.
   1) As long as the gal has HKID. (most 141 walk up gals)
   2) When the gal is on tourist visa (hotel gals/ brothels/ phone appoinment); if caught, the gal get into trouble,
       the punter is required give statement to the authority(s) and free to go.
   3) Avoid entering room/apartment that house more than 1 gal.

I don't have personal experience, but from reports and from my understanding (happy to be corrected):
As I said above, the Chinese without HKID are also illegal. Personally, I don't have much concern. As I said, I saw a nice Thai girl and JSL a week or so before the raid. 141 (1 woman one client) sex work is legal (hence the advice to avoid doubles).
It's not your job to check the immigration status. Obviously, it would be rather scary (and annoying if you haven't finished) to have the door broken down, but these raids don't happen that often, so the chance is very small. And you're not doing anything illegal - the non-HKID girl is.  I do make sure I have ID with me as otherwise the police could get annoying.

As pointed out earlier in the thread, approaching a street girl and asking for a price is prosecutable, though.

Here's some discussion about the big KH raid in Jan 2018, with some advice:

73 women arrested is a lot of girls.  Does that mean JSL is cleaned out like Hop Yee?  Hop Yee got raided like a month ago and is basically shut down except for a few older longtimers.  I checked two  ...

About Hop Yee, there are clearly permanent side effects:
