IMHO its coz there is a very large majority of Asian girls - without any other choices in life - who HAS TO embark on a WG life, but with the full intent of returning to civvie life once she's acquired/saved up enough to finance such.

In the west, where there's way more opportunities and even assistance to pursue other vocations, IMHO the WG's are more inclined to just be lazy or drug crazed lifers.

Also, in Asia the concept of keeping mistresses is more acceptable and thus even falling head over  heels in love with a WG does NOT have to mean one needs to abandon one's family.

You are the only Swede I know that Loves Asia so much! But yes, in China having a mistress has been acceptable for hundreds if not thousands of years. It's only been recently because of the whole western influences of infecting the concept of only being allowed 1 spouse that has changed the whole mindset of chinese women all over the country.

But even with those influences, many Chinese girls, NOT ALL, but many chinese girls still are ok with the mistress concept. Strange...i guess thousands of years of tradition and culture really can't shake off so easily with a communist/cultural revolution here and there.

Yes, Twice can be brusque, can even be chaffing - but his "Mod-ding" have always been fair, balanced and totally unselfish and is always only meant for the good of our forum. and I do appeal for you guys to once and for all let it be known that you also do appreciate his continual and stellar work for our benefit at this thread.

I replied to your linked thread before I saw this thread.  I second your support for Twice.  As a Mod, he is delightfully even-tempered and fair.  I greatly respect the contribution that he makes.  If he resigns as Mod, it will certainly be a loss for the community.

I don't deny that the proportion of "normal" women who make temporary lives as WGs may be much larger than in the west...  But I think you have painted a very biased picture of the sex trade in the west.  The mid- to high-end internet escorts -- particularly the independents -- make this a business and most are smart enough to plan ahead and develop an exit strategy.  Many of them marry former clients... some live happily ever after!

Hey guys, sort of new here. I registered a year ago but I never really understood how this place worked and it looked like a real hassle to up your RA. Well anyways I decided I'll try mongering since I'm finally settling in Hong Kong for good and dish out some decent reports and see where that gets me. While you have good looks on your side, other people may need to brush up on their game just to get one girl for the evening.
