recent promotion but thats ok, i've tasted the good life haha.

Yeah, looks like I dropped down to MM as well, but also the RA requirements on pics have been increased, so even with CC there won't be as much good stuff to see.

But I agree with you davidlong - it protects the girls better, and those who were just spamming to get the RA will not find it worth the effort, but those of us who just enjoy being here will gain access sooner or later.  It may even improve signal to noise.

I still think that C&P db pics in the forum should be RA'd as well for the same reason as we RA pics that we have taken.  Despite the PS they are recognizable.

The only phones that get the latest OS updates the fastest are Google Nexus phones (Galaxy Nexus, Nexus etc).

From what I've been able to track, Samsung has been putting out updates faster than HTC for non-Google branded phones.

Argh! the new karma settings... I was *so* close to levellng up! And here I am, stuck in my hometown for like 2 months unable to do any mongering or reporting... Now I'm gonna need to make some piss-poor excuse for why I need to go to HK again, so I can go get some material for new reports. Such a sad life I lead...

Yes, apparently the Android based phones do have some issues on updates. Because it's open source, the control level is not the same as closed source softwares. Same case as Windows vs Mac OS.

And looks like it will take me much longer time to be promoted to higher level to view the juicy pix.... *sigh*, but then again, I am enjoying my self here in these forums. So whatever comes will eventually come.

Supposedly this is the thread to RANT, I am just gonna express some views I have on the recent changes... My views are mostly aimed at the China side of the forums as I rarely participate in the HK side.

I don't think it's fair at all and I don't like the direction this forum is heading based on the changes that are being made. It might just be me but I've noticed a decrease in threads in the China section since I joined.

I worked hard posting reports and being involved with this forum to get my RA30 and now its suddenly revoked. Fine, thats not really the issue since I can work it back up, but seriously right now it is SO HARD to get up to RA50 or whatever BS they want you to get to in order to see some real pics with bodies. I mean right now there is less and less members that are adding karma to reports. Add in the fact that now the "best reports" are going to be reports with pics RA50, not much members on this forum are even going to be able to see pics that we work so hard to post in order to get the karma!

The people at the bottom can add 1 or 2 Karma and can't even see any good pics, so they probably aren't even going to bother adding points! Seriously we just have to wait around for the senior members to look through our threads and give us our +5 or whatever since only they can.

But I guess thats the way this forum works so fine, we will play by the rules.......

I understand the concept but you have got to be kidding me. Talk about misdirection of applying this concept. Unless there is some major similar change coming on the chinese side of 141 forum (and I take back my rant if there is) then this whole revamp of the rules to the piddly english section of 141 is bullshit.

You can click any random post on the chinese side (china) and see faces, bodies without any RA. I would say from browsing at least 70% of the replies are spam and useless one line bullshits. At the current time I'm posting this the chinese side (china hotel + sauna) of 141 has 2,975,183 total posts compared to 28,104 total posts (Mainland China) on the english 141 forum side. Some basic math shows that theres over 105X the amount of posts  on chinese vs. english side


So yes, lets let the side with 100x less activity be as restrictive as possible to "protect WG identities" and prevent spam. But let's not give a shit about the side thats freely posting pics of girls faces and bodies without ANY RA and has every thread run 20 pages with useless one liners.

At the end of the day I'm sure this is a great move since the WG's who want their identities protected are SURELY going to be looking at the protective english side not the open chinese side with all these pics everywhere. OH WAIT this is about places in HK/CHINA where WG's read chinese not english.

Speaking of a wider audience I figure I would post my question from the wg gifting thread in here in hopes to get more suggestions.

I want to get a gift for a WG, she recently moved from japan to Canada and to very determined to get better at English, her English is already very good (I don't have to speak slowly or in simple English but it's still not all there) with valentines day coming up I was hoping to get her a gift related to that but can not think of anything. Hopefully someone can help me out .

I have to say the whole thing sucks a little for me!
I understand the need to protect WGs etc. But I only just made it to CC gave a whole speech pledging my allegiance to the cause and everything.
I now feel like the ex CEO of RBS who just got stripped of his knighthood.
I know it won't take me too long to reach the required Ks to get back to where I was if I really want to try.
But for me, and I'm guessing many others like me, who are unable to monger frequently in HK and post in that section, getting higher Ks is a hard task, so we try to contribute what we can in these sections to become part of the 141 community.
We do run the risk of being accused of spamming to try to attain higher Ks, so naturally become cautious of placing random posts no one is really interested in reading.
Yet a newbie can come along, possibly a fake reporter and quickly pass those members who have persevered.

Still better than being a Buggered Begger I guess.

Life is not fair and not all things are equal.  This forum is not a democracy and does not answer to any of its members.  The sooner we all understand that the sooner we can get on and use the website for what WE want to extract from it or input into it.  There are things that I personally disagree with here, but suck it up sunshine and work within the given confines.  If that doesn't work for you, you have the ultimate option.......stop visiting 141.

The decision is always yours.

All this talk about the new requirements for upgrades and RA ratings, any possibilities of the new rules only applies to newly sign up people in the forum on and after the amendment date? Those who sign up and has been around before this date gets to keep what they have earned based on the old system and allowed to still be rated based onthe old system.

Maybe to a certain extend, this could help to keep the bros who sign up before the amendment date happy and at the same time the control intention is still kept. Just my thought, hope it could be a solution that can be considered and do-able.

it doesnt really matter tho as even if we are able to keep our ranks, the fact that all nude/face pics will be RA 50 anyways.

For my 2 cents worth, I always hit KP first as the service is always brilliant.  But thats just my thoughts.  Cruising, you're not going to go wrong either way.  But don't forget to post a report.

Awwww come on! Took me months to reach RA30 and here i am again, 20! Honestly its kindof annoying. Takes of a good part of the fun. I was slowly walking my way up the social RA ladder, minding my own busiess and I feel like I drew a "go to jail" card... I can understand the reason but still, the guys who want to use the info for the wrong reasons will still be there, it'll just take them more time!

Nice job at repairing something that wasn't broken.  Did you have too much free time?  Don't you think making it more difficult for legitimate users of this forum is a good way to increase your member base?

All major carriers will have at least the Samsung Nexus or Samsung Galaxy Nexus. As long as there is the word Nexus in the name of the phone, it means that it will get Android OS updates faster than other phones due to being commissioned by Google.

HTC and Samsung usually add some other stuff tho their own phones (eg HTC Rezound/Sensation, Samsung Galaxy SII) in terms of skinning it (HTC Sense or TouchWiz) or apps.

Yeah you got that point right and I missed this. RA50 is really a bit too much. Let's hope the moderators will reconsider on this. Actually it does kind of took some joys out of visiting the forums here for some bros, especially fir those who was just promoted and able to see all those RA30 pix and now suddenly has been brought back down...

For me, I just have to hang on a little longer (maybe much more) but I will just continue to enjoy myself while waiting for some kind of reprisal...

Hey Tuff, for as long as I have been around this website the mods have been making unpopluar decisions.  Sometimes for the greater good of the forum, sometimes [IMHO] for insular reasons.  As I stated earleir, if you don't like what happens, you have the opportunity to leave.  And as we know, there is no other game in town.  So my suggestion to you is to suck it up, get your points and life is cruisey.....
