I love Hong Kong. The smells, sights, sounds, shopping, transportation, food and women! I'm even lining up my grad school studies so that I may potentially work in Hong Kong or China in the near future (though realistically unlikely given China's slowly shrinking economy. The money is now in Brazil).
As a CBC, I love being anonymous in Hong Kong. As multicultural as Canada is, there's something different about being able to completely blend in in a city where everyone else is the same ethnicity as you. Unlike some other punters, I have no problem seeing other guys and them seeing me checking the floors of the various walkups. It's highly unlikely that anyone would ever recognize me.
Mandarin is here to stay. It might not be anything special to some of you, but for several decades in Canada the Chinese community was predominantly from Hong Kong and people spoke Cantonese. Even just three years ago when I was in Hong Kong I only used Cantonese but this year the majority began speaking to me in Mandarin first. Even in my job in Canada things just suddenly changed to Mandarin with the influx of Mainland Chinese emmigrating and immigrating.
I love having a smart phone. Being able to pull up email, texting/sms/WhatsApp, Google Maps and Sex141 all in the palm of my hand is a traveler's dream. I don't think of my iPhone as a phone but rather as a computer that fits in my pocket that happens to be able to make and receive calls.
Don't fall in love with a WG. Three times this year I almost fell in love! I became friends on different levels with all three but when you're a single lonely guy it's too easy to think that you've found the perfect woman and forget that this is just a job to her and you're just a client. The best shag that I've ever had in my life was with a WG in Hong Kong and I've been looking for replicate that experience since. That said, don't go to a WG if looking for a girlfriend. Sex with the girlfriend is very different emotionally than sex with a WG. I enjoy both but for very different reasons.
I'm not as young as I used to be. Just a few short years ago I was able to cum four times in three hours. Then I turned 30 and now need a two hour break before trying again. On the plus side, I now know my body and sensations well enough to control things and can orgasm on cue when I want.
I'm not as addicted to sex as I thought I was. Mind you that in 9 days in Hong Kong I had sex 9 times with 5 different WGs and an old girlfriend and then I still wanted more. I'm hoping to return in Q1 2012 (to try some Wan Chai freelancer fun!) but personal finances make it unlikely.
Save your money. Save it for something big. Don't spend recklessly nor on small things all the time because it all adds up. For you Hong Kong guys it's more difficult because local girls always want you to be spending on them, but save up and down the road treat yourself to something nice. Relax, unwind and de-stress. Stress will fuck up your weight, give you grey hair and erectile dysfunction (*not a proven scientific fact but I'm going to say it anyways). It's important to take care of yourself because if you don't then no one will.
New Year's Resolutions... Return to HKG. I'm in grad school and finances makes this unlikely for 2012 but a man can dream. Make more meaningful posts to the Sex141 forum. I would like to think that I don't make too many stupid posts, but I try to post well thought out and informative contributions when I can. I likely won't be making any WG reports for the next while but I still have a lot of knowledge to share (I'm pretty well educated and experienced!).
