The owner/admin of this website on purpose made/programmed the DB pages to NOT be accessible when somebody with a PRC ISP tries to access it as the "product" on offer here is of very little attraction to consumers in the PRC; and that is assuming that these "consumers" could even get across the border to come to Hong Kong!

On top of that, agents of these PRC 141 gals would explain the above and convince them to put up their DB pictures on their ads  - as there's no chance that their family/friends could ever see their pictures/DB page - so no problem to do so.

Used to be that the FORUM pages was also NOT accessible from the PRC when the Great Chinese Internet Wall was up and running, and even as late as just a year or so ago, one needs to use a VPN/Proxy server to access these pages.  But as you know, sites like this is no longer being blocked in China.

As far as I remember, when I used to use a VPN/Proxy to access the forum from China last year, I was then NOT able to access the DB pages even using such VPN/proxy.  For sure NOT all proxies worked to access the DB pages..so I don't know if the 141 programmers had been so thorough that they are able to deny access to PRC sources even if such source tried to access it using a VPN/proxy.

Anyway... punt was bad... gave her 20 rmb to get home.

People makes mistakes...they are policing the whole thing but that doesn't mean they could do everything, I mean covering absolutely everything. Besides, this is a forum without political agenda and discussion about sex without trade does not denote anything illegal (I think, this maybe the reason the forum is still accessible).

But then again, sites like Facebook is banned because it can easily become a political tool, as well as Blogspot (too much criticism vetted in the site on the government).

You are right about certain VPN/proxies that doesn't work in China, the Internet police even managed to block some of the good VPN providers' websites! One of my friends tried to use the same VPN he's using outside of China which is workingfine but doesn't work in China.

But there are still many if these that still works, just gotta do a bit of work to find one and if anyone is here long term, teen pay for it.

One more thing, sometimes changing the servers could help. Servers located in Hong Kong or China are usually blocked.
