it could turn out into a blessing in disguise for boston. perkins is there mainly for defense. but defense against who? bynum is immobile, and the Laker guards usually settle for the outside shot.
i think having wallace or davis in his place gives the celtics more offensive options, and more minutes for them means they can get into the rhythm of the game and hit their shots.
defense wise, KG can handle bynum, and rasheed is boston's best defensive matchup for gasol. notice how gasol generally plays poorly when wallace is on him...
i think game 7 boils down to who gets off to a good start. boston has a better chance of doing that with wallace/davis in the place of perkins, so i think it wont be a negative for them that perkins is gone in game 7. and its the last game, so everyone's gotta give it their all.
