Yeah, tried just about everything in your list - but found out eventually that I just got too used to long work hours/shorter sleeping periods when I was younger, that I actually am/perform OK with less sleep.

I am often astounded when I actually meet up with people from the internet to discover that they are totally NOT what they appear to be in cyberspace.  This includes Gals (Photoshop!) as well as guys.

What is it about the anonymity of the internet that makes people so different on/off it? Especially the degree of malice.

Don't they ever consider their own ethics/morality?
Lying, cheating, malice - all forms of "sins/immoral/unethical" conduct IMHO should apply to all individuals (whatever those may be) whether in real life or cyberspace. Does say, lying in cyberspace NOT count?

And whilst at it - I also want to rail against lying in general.  
Very early in life I've discovered the perils of lying - and the joys of always being able to tell the truth.
And also the quandary I find myself when I need to lie to my SO -which I believe most of us here actually need to do. Sigh....! I really hate having to do so and am convinced that I'll go to hell for doing it - even more so than my going out and "committing adultery!"

But nowadays it seems that people - especially the younger ones amongst us - just don't take lying as any big deal.  They'd lie even for the most mundane/nebulous of reasons as if its of no consequence. I mean things like - "Sorry I'm late, the traffic was bad" - while the truth is that he just didn't move his fat ass off his couch early enough. Why couldn't he just say - "Sorry I'm late" and leave it at that?
Too many habitual/compulsive/pathological liars in this world!!

Yes. In KTVs in Beijing / Shanghai / Chengdu / Chongqing, girls do indeed have that option.

Suggest getting a Hepatitis B vaccine before visiting China.  Hepatitis B is very common in China.  Next maybe A and C but there are far less common.
