My own experience during the early days of mongering is that some WGs (mainly in sauna) usually make some comments about it to strike up the conversation. it feels funny to tell them about family (how many kids, how old are they, etc), being the newbie and pretty nervous and all. Since then, i just take off the wedding band although there's still some marks around the fingers and the comments form WGs has reduced significantly.

They just assume I am married from my 'old-enough to married' appearance. Then once I tell them I am not married, they ask me why not? and tell me to hurry up and get married.

Not that they care but they are intrigued by it. I dont really care and taking it off would mean I have a risk of loosing it (not sure I could justify this) so Im better off keeping it (yes I tend to loose a lot of things !).

I usually leave my jewelry in Taiwan when I go to China. If you lose it or get it stolen the cost or replacing it and explaining it to the so is more trouble than keeping it on your finger.

At first I thought I was all abit too weird, but we've gotten used to it now. She likes cooking and hates anything getting stuck underneath, and I hate to have anything distracting me from what girl might be underneath me! ;) Plus I'd freak out if I had lost it from taking it on and off.
